That F2012 is looking more like an F2012.6 given the amount of updates they've pumped into it lately. Hope they don't peak too early.

I actually posted early in the season, when a lot of people were completely writing off the car that I thought it would take quite a while to see its real potential. My thinking was that it was such a radical design (within the scope of the rules anyway) and, as such Ferrari, unlike every other team had no baselines for testing. The team first had to understand the car, then develop it. I'm really not at all surprised by the amount of upgrades and I'm sure it will continue. If you look at the payoff the team has been getting for each of the upgrades it has been significant and, what's most encouraging is there hasn't been a backward step yet - every upgrade has work the way they expect. That's very different to pre-season and early season results.

For sure there will come a point where the returns will diminish, but I hope they are nowhere near that ATM. As Tombazis said in his last interview they are looking to "dominate" races with this car.

If they could improve at the rate they've been doing up to this point, dominating isn't out of realms of possibility.

But turning a piece of sh*t into something worthwhile is a lot easier than getting the last tenths out of it, which is why so many cars are so close right now. Development is so limited that domination is thrown out the window. I actually saw a full race from Monza 2004 earlier today...and thank God for those days to be way behind us! :hehe:

Dominate you say? Then they should hire some of the Red Bull staff. :hehe:

or give Max Mosely a call :whip:

Mercedes keep their Canada spec front wing, minus the main grouping of winglet elements, which i hadn't noticed before. Quite odd! Suggests the huge power of their double DRS system though.

HRT have that tiny Williams gearbox on their car now. Yet, the bodywork apparently doesn't take advantage of it... you would think it would be an obvious step for them to take as soon as they got these components on their car...

(i have been quite slack on my keeping tabs on F1 car updates recently, trying to fix that...)

Hmm...is it just me or do tattoos just look dumb on skinny people. :hehe:

Skinny like this? Has Brangelina ever been spotted at a GP?

If it applied for women, I'd hope for a law banning all women from meeting the needle. :hehe:
