Feel free to point out how this mistake makes him a thug. Sound more like an error that anyone could have made. Does that make all the curent F1 drivers thugs or are the haters just hating.

I'm just saying......

Firstly he did it before, to lewis, for which many gave him the benefit of doubt, he has now done it again,

and then there is this:

‘Banned for life’ Maldonado lucky to be in Monaco

A favourite for victory this weekend, Pastor Maldonado is reportedly lucky to be gearing up to race in the Principality at all.

Bild newspaper recalls that the Venezuelan, who defied his ‘pay driver’ critics by winning for Williams in Spain two weeks ago, was actually banned after an horror incident on the streets of Monte Carlo seven years ago.

Racing in the Renault World Series in 2005, the 27-year-old ignored yellow flags before striking and severely injuring a marshal.

Organisers of the Monaco grand prix reacted by banning Maldonado from the street circuit for life.

Germany’s Bild revealed that Maldonado’s wealthy father intervened, promising to pay for the marshal’s recovery and rehabilitation from a broken back.

That intervention saved Maldonado’s future Formula One career, as no team would hire a regular driver that cannot participate in the sport’s most famous race.

kid seems to make a lot of 'errors' where the possibility of others getting hurt is not a big concern,

like a thug

Like he's the only driver to act like a thug. At least he's never had to lie to gain a place.

Sorry but that seems like extreme OTT driving to me. Taking other drivers out sooo blatently just is not on.
I'm sorry but I don't like the guy, he's a bit :yikes:

Didnt you say he wasnt a thug recently? Now its ok because other drivers also act like thugs

So tell us how many drivers in F1s history have intentionally and wilfully crashed into another competitor (Nelsinho dont count, he crashed into a barrier)

and how this is comparable to 'lying'

Racing incidents happen. Perez got out of the way as much as he could and Maldonado didn't really have much choice of where to go. Once upon a time the stewards would have said s*** happens.

I like the guy, he's got a lot of promise. I ain't going for this character assasination bandwaggon that's going on.

It's not a racing incident; Maldonado had plenty of room, Perez was well out of the way! You have to remember this isn't the first time that Maldonado has taken a swipe at someone in F1, Spa 2011 I believe it was, he attempted to sideswipe Lewis Hamilton. I believe he is lucky to even be participating in the Monaco Grand Prix after that bonehead move!

His antics last year were inexcusable but I'm going to be in 2 minds about this one. I don't believe it was a deliberate attempt to hit Perez, more of venting his frustration and cutting up Perez.

What's the difference?

He didn't set out to hit Perez, just get in his way by cutting in sharp. Hundreds do it sucessfully on the motorways every day.

So, you're saying he's a worse driver than those hundreds? :P

Nah, I've not seen him on a motorway.

How quickly the mighty fall! Win a race on one of the toughest tracks one weekend then turn around two weeks later and stuff it up to earn a 10-spot grid penalty. Imagine the swings of emotion from Sir Frank. Oy! :irked:

He went too far, but to some extent arrogance and a belief your superior to the other drivers is needed to be a top class driver, no?

Steven Hendry (most successful Snooker player) wrote a very honest article about how he felt a thrill with victory and enjoyed "kicking an opponent whilst he was down".

It's great to see another young Turk who dares to challenge the established guys

But I can't see the Williams providing the equipment quite yet and Maldo still has to beat Hamilton Vettel et al over the season

Despite the lottery conditions and seemingly free for all, it's still the same guys at the head of the table

But in the next few years and despite looking like a thug from B movie hopefully the Williams/Pastor combo could be a real threat

Nothing like looking like a thug from a B move....I should know...see me below lol

:yikes::yikes: scary :yikes::yikes:

You will have to excuse the tash...that was grown for Movember....but yes that is moi and many people tend to simply cross the road when they see me...fortunately I am just a softie at heart!
