The literal translation would be fed or well fed, but that doesn't work well either in this case. I'd go with sizable group or large or something like that.

Lots of Italians support Italian drivers rather than Italian teams.

Not so true, we used to have a lot of drivers in the 80's (up to 15 per race), and also a high number of teams.. now we have just a team (well, i'd say The Team ;)), and two drivers, just one of those is a decent one (Trulli).. So we haven't got a big choice ;)

Yes of course at the moment there are few Italian drivers, but I wasn't talking about PNLY this moment. There were also Italian teams to root for besides Ferrari.

Benetton was my second favorite Italian team even though when Michael Schumacher won 2 titles for Benetton at the time it was classed as a British team. By the way Nutrito means Naurished. It comes from the verb Nutrire meaning To Naurish.

Just because hairy man Flavio bought an F1 team in the UK doesnt make it change to Italian.

Bud, Benetton is Italian (The brand clothes etc) The F1 team that once existed before Renault bought them was also always Italian. That is a fact. Here is an extract from the Article on Benetton Formula from Wikipedia.org. You are welcome to also look it up yourself of course.

Nationality
Benetton Team had a United Kingdom license from 1986 to 1995 and an Italian license from 1996 to 2001. The Benetton family wanted this change of nationality in order to have a F1 team of their own country.[3][4] The team was based in the UK throughout.

Note this part of the paragraph in particular.
The Benetton family wanted this change of nationality in order to have a F1 team of their own country.

And if you look up Benetton Group you get this at the start.

Benetton Group S.p.A. (NYSE: BNG) is an upscale global clothing brand, based in Treviso, Italy. The name comes from four members of the Benetton family who founded the company in 1965. Benetton Group is listed on the Borsa Italiana, the Frankfurt Stock Exchange and the New York Stock Exchange.

Note that its Benetton Group S.p.A. S.p.A indicates an ITALIAN company just like GmbH or AG indicates a German company etc.

Benetton the clothing company and Benetton the F1 company were run and owned by the same family with the founder being LUCIANO BENETTON in TREVISO, ITALIJA!

Ownership was Italian yes youre right! But more importantly the team was and always was British!

if they moved HQ to Italy then they can hail as Italian!

why do you think they refer to Renault even now as the Anglo French team!

So Bud does this mean that Toyota is German and Honda is British? Yeah KURAC they are! Both are Japanese regardless of where the factories (the F1 ones) are located. And Benetton was referred to as the Anglo-Italian team as well anyways. Eitherway as far as I am concerned Benetton (at least after they had an Italian licence) were Italian and before that they were British but always of Italian origin. It always goes by the licence anyways just like a persons nationality goes by their citizenship. Ie I was born in Ljubljana, Slovenija but am an Italian Citizen. This means I am Italian. Of course I have dual citizenship (the other being Slovenian) but if I ever denounce the Slovene one I will always be Italian irrigardless of where I was born. The Benetton factory so to speak was born in the UK as it is there, but the Benetton team's licenece (after 1996) was Italian so therefore it was clearly Italian.

Whatever you say AKR. Just you believe whatever you want. I can't even be bothered to read the rubbish you type. It's just rubbish that takes up space on my monitor that could be filled with more useful posts and information.

Yeah whatever McLaren fan. Can't accept reality can we? Again I have given a valid explanation as to why Benetton (when they had an Italian licence were Italian) and again you bully me around because you don't like what I have got to say. Very terrible. At least bud is intelligent and expresses his opinion with an explanation like I do. I respect bud for this as he and I can at least have a discusion. You just hate me because my views are different to yours. This is not nice McLaren Fan, not nice at all. :( Now McLaren Fan if you disagree with my explantion as to why Benetton was Italian then how about give me your opinion with a full and valid explanation in a civillised way? This is what I would like to discuss?
