...if Whitmarsh wants to favour jenson theres nothing anyone can do about it.

Except for his bosses, as we have discussed, but you seem to have conveniently forgotten already.

Why would his bosses do anything? Whitmarsh isnt doing anything thats not allowed. He probably has a very good arguement suggesting that what he is doing is good for Mclaren.

Talking like what you think is factual... Whitmarsh does not hold Lewis back take off your tin foil hat!

So you are agreed that favouritism happens at McLaren!! RESULT!!

No we're not. It happened previously under Ron Dennis but there is nothing to suggest it is now happening.

It's always happened at McLaren like it does at every team up and down the grid... favouritism and unequal treatment are too very different things!

Yes they are, but subconciously I think the favouritism may sometime sway close call decisions.

From what I've seen Lewis and Jenson rarely want the same strategy anyway. Deciding between driver calls only really comes into play when the drivers are line astern.

In the usual run of things, they work with their own engineers during the race. Do you ever even hear Whitmarsh on the radio mid-race?

This is also opinion, but McLaren can be a bit conservative with strategy in general but Jenson has a greater tendencey to make his own calls. So nothing to do with favouritism at Mclaren, just driver differences, with Jenson perhaps being better than Lewis in this respect.

Some good points there. I think Mclaren are over conservative with strategy. And the fact that lewis has been with Mclaren since he was a child may have led to him leaving things to them too much. But there are lots of examples of him asking for something and being told no. Like his tyres gone in the first race but having to stay out, saying it was time for inters in the wet race and then Jenson getting called in. Some time ago (cant remember when)being told to shut up and get on with it when he needed tyres and subsequently loosing a place to kimi.Loosing the world championhip in his first year when he as begging to come in for tyres. Last year's Spanish GP, he wanted a longer 7th gear and his engineer argued against it, then in the race he couldnt overtake Vettel to win because he was hitting the limiter. More recently he wanted to test and wasnt allowed. So I think its not the whole story to say he doesnt make calls. And there is evidence that Jenson gets some of his calls made for him by the team. If Lewis' engineer is making the calls then he isnt doing very well.

I don't buy any of that! By definition wouldn't unequal treatment stem from favouring the other? Why else would a team disadvantage one driver? Look at Ferrari asking Massa to give up a race win for Alonso. This unequal treatment was caused by their favouritism of Alonso.

And nothing has happened at McLaren to even suggest anything like this is going on! Just some sour puss Lewis fans with an agenda say otherwise!

Blinkers Bud! Its just a case of how far it goes, not if it happens.
