I'm sure that McLaren have legitimate reasons to omit Lewis from the test, anything we say will only be speculation! As Jenson said, McLaren aren't bringing anything new to Mugello, maybe it's more of a test of their reserve drivers than a test of the car itself.

Lewis wants to test the car to try to improve it. Jenson cant go becasue he's comitted to a demo at Budapest. So Lewis isnt allowed to go. That says a lot. I wonder what would have happenned were the positions reversed....Now let me guess.
Who's calling the shots at McLaren???

 you're unbelievable

He's accused of not being as good as Jenson on developping the cars and set-up, he's asked to go to a test, he isnt allowed . All the other teams have their race drivers in the car for the majority of the three days. They are in no position to be leaving it only to their test drivers after their performance in the last race. Mclaren should be more concerned about improving their car against the other teams, not protecting Jenson from Lewis :banghead::banghead:

If they allow Lewis to do the test then that is completely unfair on Jenson. They must of booked him on that demo so that he can not test so Lewis could get the upper hand. Mclaren are b******rds to poor Jenson

Except Lewis isnt testing. He's not allowed.

It's amazing how your mindset works... at every event you turn anything whether it be a negative or a positive into some conspirators act of vengeance against Lewis. You should honestly take a step back and see things from a far to see how stupid and plain moronic you sound with all these crazy theories!

We should be worrying more about a stupid team which cares more about giving track time to test drivers than winning races and Championships.

That's a good thought, not only are they not interested in Lewis winning, they also don't want Jenson to. The team think that if the race drivers tested the new parts the car would be unbeatable and they would win every race. Something they just don't like doing... Winning that is.
So to stop this terrible act from happening they have chosen to bring in their test drivers so their car goes backwards in the development race.

There that's easily explained...all facts by the way.

Hello racechick

If I may I'm uncertain if there is a conspiracy yet I am not saying you are wrong. I find F1 much more enjoyable when I just let the cards fall were they may ie the only thing that matters is what happens on the track and the final results. I watch and record on my old timey VHS and then wait for the next race, less stress and I keep my foot out of my mouth (I think you are familiar with that lol).

All the best,
tex :)

Hi Tex :wavey: ,
I dont think theres a conspiracy either, I'm just a little perturbed by some things I see and looking for answers. I WISH I could follow your example and just enjoy the race as it unfolds. I think Im too far gone for that
Cheers Tex

And (I know one should never start a sentence with and) I understand your concerns, you may be onto something. Thats the tricky thing with F1 though, perception is not always reality (only 99% of the time :D ).

Hope you well,
Gregg :)

Neither is Button. So I guess McLaren are screwing him as well or are you saying that one driver needs more practice than the other or that only Hamilton should be allowed to test and to hell with Button?

Another fact: one cannot add a mod to one's "foe" list. :(

An irrefutable fact indeed. :(

Button said he didnt want to test, that it wasnt neccesary. Lewis said he wanted to test and felt it was very neccesary. Nothing to do with needing more practise, all to do with sorting out the problems the drivers are experiencing with the mcLaren in race conditions.Buton doesnt feel he needs to be involved, leiws feels he does. lewis isnt going
