- 27 Apr 12, 14:25#301578I'm sure that McLaren have legitimate reasons to omit Lewis from the test, anything we say will only be speculation! As Jenson said, McLaren aren't bringing anything new to Mugello, maybe it's more of a test of their reserve drivers than a test of the car itself.
He's accused of not being as good as Jenson on developping the cars and set-up, he's asked to go to a test, he isnt allowed . All the other teams have their race drivers in the car for the majority of the three days. They are in no position to be leaving it only to their test drivers after their performance in the last race. Mclaren should be more concerned about improving their car against the other teams, not protecting Jenson from Lewis
