No I dont know the question, its just Whitmarsh giving his views. Here's the link

So for all you know, Whitmarsh was asked about Button and decided to mention Hamilton out of the goodness of his heart but it seems he was asked about tyre management and the different approaches of his drivers.

Not necessarily, you never know, Whitmarsh might start saying nice things about lewis and adding Jenson on as an afterthought. But then again, pigs might fly

Whitmarsh might stop gushing like a hormonal teenage girl with a crush after 'babe' grows wings and takes to the sky

He does say nice things, I was reading some comments on a story in planetf1 where now they are claiming Ron Dennis is in on this favouring Button bs, because he was on Jensons side of the garage.
It's all getting pathetic.

NNNOOOOOOOOOOO! I though Ron was one of the good guys!

Here's the offending comment:

Anyone noticed Ron Dennis on Button side of the garage? As I kinda of thought (well it took almost two seasons for me to realise) all this team reshuffle, centralising data, mugging personal trainers and car being built around JB's style is not all Whitmarsh even if he was the instigator of it all. Somewhere along the lines Ron had to give his blessings, we have all seen/and heard over the years how Ron can move to one man to another and I cannot see such an old school leopard changing his spots. Sometimes Hamilton says something that makes me think, what is wrong with you man, but when you look at the bigger picture and the things Hamilton has to soak in and yet jump in his car and give it his all (when other drivers have shut down over smaller things) makes me reaffirm my support for him! As for Button he is very crafty the way he leapfrogs Hamilton on the tracks, it usually boils down to the pitwall and the way he is looked after, but if he is beaten by Hamilton, psychologically it does not affect him because he knows Hamilton is better than him...so beating him is a bonus and a highlight of his career, even bigger than a WDC win.

Grab you tin foil hats people!

And here was me thinking that Ron Dennis had handed complete control of the F1 team to Martin Whitmarsh back on the 16 April 2009. Do these people never think that the guy is just showing a bit of interest in the team he used to run?! Occam's Razor.

[racechick]

Well the ronlewislewis guy at planetF1 makes some good points...but Ron in on it??????? Nah!!! Surely Nah! C'mon, Ron wouldnt do that.Leave me with some faith in high up McLaren personal.

I like this section and believe the bolded section is hitting the nail on the head. Which is why the guy can smile all he wants even when he's beaten, its where he belongs in the grand scheme of things. But when he makes some gamble and ends up in front of Hamilton/Hamilton screws up, it's like an additional bonus which he could celebrate into the nights.

Exactly, it's madness to suggest that Uncle Ron is favouring Button. He's firmly in the Hamilton camp. He was clearly on a spying mission or was maybe acting as a goodwill ambassador.

It is a bit silly now this.

If you think its silly you dont have to contribute.

Amen to that. Still wondering wtf is he doing in this thread when its all so silly/meaningless.

[McLaren]

If you think its silly you dont have to contribute.

Well it is ment to be a Lewis Hamilton support thread ,How about we have a " McLaren are horrid to Lewis thread " then maybe the Lewis Hamilton support thread could be about supporting him, rather than nit picking at any interview a McLaren employee might give.

It has become a bit of a joker thread.

Because its not about McLaren being horrid to Lewis. Its about subtle dynamics within the team that may affect his performances.......may not of course......... But its very relevant if you support Lewis and should not be swept under the carpet.
