If you have points for overtakes; points should be deducted for being overtaken! If you end up +5 on your starting postion, you get 5 points, if you end up -5 places, you get five points deducted! And bonus points would be awarded for fastest lap, pole position and a win! There you go, the brand new points scoring system, let's get it ratified!

What's to stopping the faster cars deliberately qualifying like crap every time then? Less chance of points being deducted, many points to gain in the race. And the slower backmarker cars can forget any chance of points...they're only going to get overtaken/stay where they are.

More points for certain races is a terrible idea. Tbh, I really can't see that happening.

Fastest lap should get a point though. It is definitely a good idea to introudce points for qualifying. Or at least consider it. Maybe 3 points for pole, 2 for 2nd and 1 for 3rd. But don't go overboard. Even that is a bit much.

Grand Slams though. That's a good idea. Just adds a little more incentive to the drivers.

There should be no points for qualifying at all, I want close championships, points for quali would widen the gap between top, middle and bottom, which is wide enough already.
