What's to stopping the faster cars deliberately qualifying like crap every time then? Less chance of points being deducted, many points to gain in the race. And the slower backmarker cars can forget any chance of points...they're only going to get overtaken/stay where they are.
If you have points for overtakes; points should be deducted for being overtaken! If you end up +5 on your starting postion, you get 5 points, if you end up -5 places, you get five points deducted! And bonus points would be awarded for fastest lap, pole position and a win! There you go, the brand new points scoring system, let's get it ratified!
