He wasn't insulted at the question, he's simply insulted at "it" being questioned. The fact that it was a dumb idea to be in this situation once again. The issue here isn't safety really because it's unlikely someone directly associated with an F1 team will get hurt. The problem is the environment the race is being held under, the aura of fear, of protesting and of a draconian regime that would rather see the protest squelched by brute force rather than address the causes.
F1 is simply the vessel here, not the content. I'm sure Bernie's resent is towards the protesters however. Like any good capitalist would. The ruling families that sign the contracts or pay the bills are except from stupid decisions.
If Bernie is a smart man, we will not see F1 return to Bahrain in 2013. it's simply not worth the questions and the likelihood that it will repeated once again next year. There are far too many other countries pushing for a spot on the calendar. If he's a greedy man, we'll see the contract extended.

She asked a stupid question and deserved a stupid answer. Maybe if she'd improve her question quality she'd get on better or maybe if she'd stop trying to giggle after every questionshe may get taken seriously.
A mighty misogynistic response.
