No I wouldnt ask the same question because its clear Senna was better. The other comparison is not clear ....so I dont really know why you said that

To me the comparison is very clear, as clear as for you AS was 'better', so I don't know why you even asked...
Being a 'superb car designer' doesn't compare or is even remotely enough to put Chapman at the same level of Enzo. Just some food for thought: where is Chapman's baby now? If he had been at the level of Enzo, he would have secured the future of Lotus.
Also, Fred Bushell, Chapman's colleague and close confidante, pleaded guilty in 1992 to "Conspiring with the late Colin Chapman and others to defraud the De Lorean Motor Company" and was sentenced to four years in prison.

Not God like context bud but you of all people I expected to see the blasphamy in McLaren Fan's statement? In all reality Ron Dennis's input to the O-V-E-R-A-L-L aspect of F1 is not as great as Enzo's is/was to F1. Everyone know's I love Ferrari but some of you have also realized that I also love McLaren and you ask "Why do you love BOTH team's Gregg"? Well I say I love these two team's because of the competative spirit they bring to F1 and I hope it NEVER END'S:wink: !!!

I dont think McLaren Fan was comparing impact on F1 as a whole in terms of impact on peoples lives, Ferrari obviously along with its road cars has made a bond with alot of people in the world.
All McLaren fan was comparing was statistics of leadership vs Ron and Enzo which i cant be bothered actually looking up to get the real facts.

Bruce McLaren is being missed out in this equation although he was a racing owner and died testing a car of his own teams manufacture something Enzo was to old for

If he was not comparing the two, yah right  ,then I think he should choose his word's or statement's more wisely  . Remember perception is reality to those on the other side of the fence so to speak.

Bruce's input to F1, God rest his soul, is miniscule to Ron and Enzo's in the overall scheme that is F1. That statement come's from his limited time as a manufacturer/team owner. We cannot let our love and passion for a specific team cloud our judgement of reality and that's what I think is happening here.

Gee I didn't think my Avatar of Ron Dennis would start this conversation. I thought this was originally supposed to be of Alonso. Well I will take Texasmr2's advise and remove that avatar within 24 hours. I will find a more approriate avatar for a great TIFOSA like myself. But I also would like to add one more thibg to this Enzo Vs Ron topic. Regardless of what you say about either all that is for sure is that Enzo Ferrari never ever cheated in any race while he was alive. Sadly the same cannot be said about Ron Dennis.

Who's the one being offensive now?

That would be me  ! Remember I'm not the one who spit on Ferrari and all that it mean's to us, the tifosi

I don't spit on Ferrari, I spit on what Ferrari has become since Enzo had less to do with the company and his death.

Correct, bud. There can be no doubt Ferrari have a better road car business than Ferrari and there is a certain amount of romance about Ferrari that sets it apart. To say otherwise would be the stamp of a liar or delusional fool. I was strictly comparing Enzo Ferrari and Ron Dennis in terms of their levels of success. Overall, it is strictly my view, by the way, that Ron Dennis can be compared to Enzo Ferrari in many ways.
If he was not comparing the two, yah right  ,then I think he should choose his word's or statement's more wisely... We cannot let our love and passion for a specific team cloud our judgement of reality and that's what I think is happening here.

I admit my first post was not especially clearly, but after that what I meant did become clearer. Apologies.

In any case, I've my views, some may not like them, but they aren't ungrounded. Finally, I'm not blinkered. As I've said, before this forum even existed, a few years ago I was very critical of McLaren's performance, feeling the team was underachieving.
