Ferrari said that they were taking some risks with the new car instead of being too safe. Unfortunately when you gamble, sometimes it doesn't turn out well.

The new car is due around Spain, isn't it?

McLaren are ahead now. What we'll find out later on is whether they fundamentally have the fastest car, or if they've been conservative which means well sorted and fast at the start of the season, but less scope for development.

Hello Everyone. The Qualifying session was amazing not just because Ferrari aren't in the top ten...but because of the top four...Mercedes engines seem to be doing the good deeds...

Ferrari are in a spot of trouble yes, but what about Massa? He's the real disgrace of opening Qualifying, I mean he couldn't even beat his teammate who spun off earlier on. Alonso pushed too hard, as you expect from someone giving that extra...but Massa just seemed to be meowing his way around the track to set a pathetic time.

Kick him out already...bring someone worthwhile for a Ferrari seat.

I am just angry (for the 1000th time) over FIA decisions. They brought the ban on EO, hoping to weaken Red Bull and help Ferrari, but, guess what... McLaren isn't waiting for anyone.

Aaaaah... so its FiA's fault that Redbull have slipped down the pecking order? Of course. Let me just get my ' mental conspiracy theories' book, so I can note this one down......

Ferrari need to work on the car. Changing drivers at this point would be an unnecessary distraction.

Good point. Red Bull should have adapted to the change in regs but so far, they haven't.

They certainly will over the course of the season though.

Maldonado-grumble grumble grumble. But good sign for Williams and Senna was there abouts
Mercedes- Expected them to be up there, I think we'll see a strong race from them-maybe Schumacher on the podium?

Mclaren- car looks really strong
Merc- also a good car with awesome straight line speed
Red bull- only 5th and 6th (didn't see that coming) and kers packing up again, just like last year
Ferrari - we all know that work has to be done there
Grosjean - great effort from him
Kimi - didn't make Q2, What!!
