I keep checking the countdown clock on the F1 site just to make sure I'm not dreaming.

Ah s***! You've not heard, have you? God I hate to break it to you mate, but they've cancelled the season. Bernie thinks it'll be a way of driving audiences up for the 2013 season.

Plus, they usually do it every 6 years anyway, just to give the Farm a rest..... oh, no sorry, scrub that last line - wrong forum!

So, are people completely dismissing Massa as a contender for podium?

Not completely, he could get his car wedged into Hamiltons front wing or something.

I know its 13 pages ago but best comment ever :thumbup:

HRT have requested that they don't have Peter Pinks car scrutineered on Friday as it is not ready.

I really feel for HRT but when are all the other teams and the FIA going to say "enough is enough"

Probably saturday when they are outside the 107% rule

DRS zones have been comfirmed

ESPNF1.com
The FIA has confirmed the locations of the two DRS zones for the season-opening Australian Grand Prix in Melbourne.

In the team previews it was revealed that the race would see two zones after overtaking proved difficult in 2011 despite the presence of DRS. The first zone remains in the same place as last year - on the pit straight down towards turn one - while the second zone follows immediately afterwards on the run between turns two and three.

Although there are two zones, there is only one activation point which is positioned before turn 14. This means that only the following car will be able to activate its DRS in either zone, and therefore if it manages to make the pass in the first zone it can use the DRS to pull away from the other car in the second.

At first, MASSIVE alarm bells went off in my head. Two zones next to each other?????

But just one activation point.
