The ability to charge the difference is there, it's commonly used. The issue is the employees not knowing how to do that.

I spoke to the supervisor and manager, they all said the same thing, their ticketing and charging systems are linked, apparently! At that point, I just wanted to leave!

BTW, one of the hidden secrets of driving an SUV is the high cost of tires. I can buy 4 high performance street tires mounted and balanced for 500 bucks.

I knew about the higher cost of tyres for SUV's, guess part of my annoyance is that the Destination LE tyres wore out after just a year, the dealer claimed the the tyres were new when we bought the car back in December 2010, they certainly looked new, but I am starting to wonder now, the difference in how the car drives is astonishing!

Check out Tirerack.com - they usually have the best prices and they ship them to the shop of your choice for them to put on your vehicle.

Thanks for the tip, I will look into that next time I need new tyres. :)

If you NEEDED the alignment, then that could have very much been the reason why you wore out a set of tires in two years. They were new in 2010, but how many miles were driven on them? A cheap set of tires will get you 20k miles before you have to start thinking about getting rid of them, and a bad alignment will speed that up quite a bit.

I worked again today. The highlight of the day was me emptying a double deck trailer in record time (45 minutes - 50 was the previous record). Driver was in and out of the yard in 1 hour including me putting a few stacks of pallets back on and the driver nipping off to the toilet and to get somthing to eat. I was rather pleased with myself. :D

The car was bought 15 months ago; and we have done 10,000 miles since then... the car was serviced at Firestone in November 2010; the dealer produced the servicing receipt, which also claimed four new tyres installed, the tyres are supposed to be guaranteed for 50,000 miles (to the original purchaser).

That's life, at least nothing has gone mechanically wrong with the SUV, it did cost over $300 to get a jammed door fixed, the latch assembly broke! But now I know that it's mechanically sound, the engine and running gear all got a clean bill of health. And I got to drive a car around for the first time in a year, I'm not much of a fan of SUV's, much prefer cars, but necessity dictates

Yeah, but he's a bit too old, at the end of the day. I swiftly handed him back over to the mother.

That's a weird thing to say. I was not affected by divorce. Both of my parents are dead, they were relatively old when I was born. My father was 51 and my mother was 40, so I was an unexpected little bundle of joy. Please don't take offense, it's just that the comment made me think about how divorced does affect children in ways beyond most expectations, but then again, being raised in a dysfunctional or abusive marriage would also have its effect. So I guess an amicable split is the goal in a divorce.
