If you NEEDED the alignment, then that could have very much been the reason why you wore out a set of tires in two years. They were new in 2010, but how many miles were driven on them? A cheap set of tires will get you 20k miles before you have to start thinking about getting rid of them, and a bad alignment will speed that up quite a bit.
The ability to charge the difference is there, it's commonly used. The issue is the employees not knowing how to do that.
I spoke to the supervisor and manager, they all said the same thing, their ticketing and charging systems are linked, apparently! At that point, I just wanted to leave!BTW, one of the hidden secrets of driving an SUV is the high cost of tires. I can buy 4 high performance street tires mounted and balanced for 500 bucks.
I knew about the higher cost of tyres for SUV's, guess part of my annoyance is that the Destination LE tyres wore out after just a year, the dealer claimed the the tyres were new when we bought the car back in December 2010, they certainly looked new, but I am starting to wonder now, the difference in how the car drives is astonishing!Check out Tirerack.com - they usually have the best prices and they ship them to the shop of your choice for them to put on your vehicle.
Thanks for the tip, I will look into that next time I need new tyres.
