Was enjoying a few pints with a mate near Trafalgar Square when I noticed some flakes of snow began to descend from the heavens. Knowing the sheer incompetence of the London Transport network in such "sticky" situations (yes, it was sticking good and fast) I hastened to the nearest London Underground station, Charing Cross. It was a wise move.
I live on the periphery of the metropolis, so the tube train had to emerge from the safety of the tunnels and into the wrath of the elements. Sure enough, what with the heavy fall of snow, the electricity pick-up began to fail, and the train only just reached the station 1 stop away from mine. A long walk was thus required (I aint payin for NO taxi!)
Reached home about an hour ago with a pile of snow on my head.
It's still going hell for leather outside now! My trip to the theatre tomorrow may just not happen...
