Looks like Lewis is back with his pussycat.

Time to revive this thread with some serious info. Last year lewis had a nightmare season and jenson drove out of his skin exploiting all possibilities available to him and making hardly any mistakes. Respect. That said you may be suprised at a few statistics, which Im afraid Ive pinched from someone who is much better at interpretting data graphs than me.

Overall Hamilton out qualified Button.
Hamilton led more laps than Button.
Hamilton led Button for 5 complete races (6 but for 1 lap at Korea).
Button led Hamilton for 3 complete races.

Also...
Hamilton overtook his team mate more times than any other driver (7)
Hamilton had 1 pole position, Button had 0.
Hamilton out qualified Button 13 times to 6.
Both drivers had 3 wins.
Button had 11 fastest laps, Hamilton had 8.
Both drivers had 3 overall fastest laps.
Button finished ahead of Hamilton 10 times, Hamilton ahead of Button 9 times.
Button had 17 points finishes, Hamilton had 16.
Button had 12 podiums to Hamilton's 6
Button finished 3 places and 43 points ahead of Hamilton in the WDC.

So. Not as clear cut as the final result might suggest. Hamiltons podiums(only6 to Buttons 12) is probably the crucial statistic that goes against hamilton. Even with the mistakes by hamilton and poor quali calls from his side of the garage, his statistics are comparitively good.

Oh the stats are there to prove that Lewis Hamilton is nothing less than an outstanding talent. The only thing lacking in 2011 was the consistency, and that severely handicapped his overall performance.

I'm positive that, after the winter's break, he'll bounce back with renewed drive, energy and focus, and be back to his usual self. Jenson Button is no pushover though.

It's what I've always said, Hamilton had a so called horrible season but by no means mediocre. In fact for most of the grid it would have been outstanding.

Consider swapping the overall performances of Lewis Hamilton and Felipe Massa round in 2011. If Massa had performed how Hamilton had performed, it would've been a return to form! If Hamilton had performed how Massa had performed, then his future at McLaren would've been in serious doubt

Lets put it this way..if Lewis had performed like Massa in 2011, I would seriously consider switching my 'fanship' to another driver....hmm, maybe Rosberg. I don't support stone cold losers.

Nothing wrong with polyamory in driver support.
