He was one guy that controlled a political party of several people who share the same beliefs.

I don't really know if this is a good thing or not. He's waved 2 fingers to the bullies west for years, and that isn't a bad thing, but North Korea's human rights record is terrible. With a potential leadership change, cue renewed efforts by NATO to keep North Korea in the dark ages by not allowing them to have the toys that other nations have. Mark my words, it's going to get nasty in North Korea now.
