You're right either by evolving in to new species or just die out from climate change or out competed. But rarely all at once.
We are in a mass extinction event, think its the 5th mass extinction since life on earth began. It's all our doing we are ruining habitat and causing climate change whilst also hunting endangered species.
7billion of us, sounds like an infestation.
All animals eventually end up extinct even without assistance to the worst animal on the planet - humans.
