But he'll be so pissed! Maybe thats how he needs to feel. I understand the green light for all clear was being shown when he got the penalty. So how does that work?

Well this is what he said on BBC Sport.....

"I was engaging the DRS (overtaking device, which boosts straight-line speed) when the yellow flags were on and you're not allowed to.

I went in there and put my hands up and said I accept whatever penalty I get and they gave me one.

I don't have any feelings. It is what it is. I'm a bit frustrated with myself as it's my fault - as usual.

I just have to do what I can from wherever I qualify tomorrow. I have less hopes of pole - but tomorrow could be a different day.
"

"Asked why he was being so self-critical, Hamilton replied: "I have no-one else to blame do I? There's only me driving."

I think he doesn't give a sh*t anymore. The WDC is long gone and that's what he races for. So if a win is there, great...if not, f**k it bring in 2012.

I think you're right. If he gets a chance to race he will, if not just nod his head play the blame game.

I must say India is a nice circuit. It looked challenging, there were some nice undulations and elevation changes, and it looks like a good driver's track.

Pit exit though is HAIRY :yikes: how many bumps are we going to see there come race day?

Thanks for the vid Denthul. That is some intense movement with the wing! Sparks an' all....

Note that we also saw the first big proper engine blow up in what seems like centuries! (Courtesy of Pastor Maldonado)...

I'm surprised Ferrari were allowed to even go on track with a wing like that. Looked like a joke, the way it was flapping about in the breeze!

Does anyone know how far the run down from the start line to the first corner is?

Also what'll be better do you think, starting 2nd or 3rd? given the dust off the racing line

Why am I not surprised to see the LH fans up in arms again this morning, at the end of the day, there were still double waved yellows on the track and LH wasn't slowing down, both Hamilton and Perez got punished, it's not like LH was singularly punished. There might have been some issue of timing between the electronic boards and the flags but it's the drivers responsibility to look out for marshals with flags, not just relying on the electronic flag boards. But back to the track itself, it looks pretty good overall; hopefully it'll rubber in over the weekend and provide us with a decent race, it has gradient and flowing corners, not what we have come to expect from the flat as a pancake Tilke circuit!
