Barring a strategy issue, Fernando would have won the driver's championship last year. And Ferrari won the constructors championships in 2007 and 2008. If Ferrari was in a situation, say, where Ferrari hadn't won the constructor's championship since 1998, that would be something worth worrying about. But Ferrari is there or thereabouts most years, and there's a good chance that Ferrari will be challenging for the championship next year.
The desperation is strong in this team.
It's funny how Ferrari have openly said they 'stopped' developments and are fully focused on next year, when the other two top teams are not really caring and continuing to develop this years' car saying all knowledge and technical knowhow is fully transferable for 2012.
Ferrari probably have many knife wielding Italians lining up at Maranello already, and are keen to defuse the growing anger by mentioning nonsense like "next years car will be the killer"..."Rory and his Pro-Engineer software is back"....what's next..."MIchael may be coming back to Ferrari"? LOL
