What Lauda said was words of a three time world champion, itd be nice if people had some respect really......

" Hamilton is one of the best drivers, hed be better if he didnt make these stupid mistakes"

JESUS H CHRIST LAUDA YOU FRIKKIN MADMAN!!!! SOMEBODY GET THIS MAN A STRAIGHT JACKET HES GOING F***ING MAD!!!!!!

:rolleyes::rolleyes::rolleyes:

If that was the actual quote I can 100% agree with Lauda, it mirrors my thoughts on him.
He is no doubt a great driver and has the support package to back him up but he does get involved in a lot of rookie mistakes that he really shouldn't be making.

Ooops can I say that? Can I really give him praise then constructive criticism....... Lol

You can say what you like. Look first at his comments after canada and then to my previous post about his comments on Schumacher.

You think so? You think he really wants lewis to calm down for the safety of all? So you would imagine he would have been critical of Schumachers driving then, since he was a very aggresive driver involved in many controversial and deliberately dangerous acts. Not a bit of it. he defended him.

"The problem today is television," said Lauda. "The TV coverage is done so well, there are so many cameras now, you can see what everybody is doing.

"In my day we used to hit each other off the road but if somebody complained afterwards, we'd just say, 'I don't know what happened'. Now you cannot really do that.

"What Schumacher did and what Coulthard did was just human reaction and I can fully understand it.

"If you are on pole position and make a bad start you think you'd better move over to defend your position.

"People complained but it is part of the show of Formula One and I don't think that FIA should interfere.

"If they do and make things more strict then in the end there will be less action and the sport will get more boring."

There, thats what the two faced hypocrite had to say about Schumacher's aggresive driving. Oh hang on, Schumachers German.

So what if Schaumcher is German? Lauda is Austrain! The difference is, Schuamcher didn't make the same mistake over and over again and he admitted his mistakes. He's also defending Coulthard, a Brit (are we just ignoring that?). He has not critisized Hamilton at all. All he has said is Hamilton needs to cut out the stupid mistakes. What's wrong with that? All the guy is saying is he thinks Hamilton is a good driver but he could be great if he addressed a couple issues.

People like andrew would love him since he's just looking for anyone who'd rat on Lewis. No surprise there really, people like that can't be helped either. :hehe:

Oh grow up mate. :hehe: True I am not a fan of Hamilton but that doesn't mean to say I don't think he is talented to an extent (that's the best you're going to get from me on Hamilton). I respect Lauda as he speak his mind and doesn't pull his punches. He's said plenty things I don't like and I have had much the same reaction as you Hamilton fans but when I've calmed down and thought about it he is usually correct.

You call what he said at Canada constructive criticism  you're a real laugh mate, Stephen should pay you to be forumula1s resident comedian!

Yet again more attacks from you. I have already asked that you do not respond to my comments as it always ends in a pitched battle which gets no where and is extremely annoying for me and I dare say other forum users. If you don't like my opinion, that's your problem. We are all passionate about F1 and the teams we follow but the least you could do is show some respect with me as you do with everyone else. Seemingly this is beyond you so don't bother replying or claiming you're having a joke because you're not and I am not in the least bit interested. Incidently, I like Hamilton more than you, and that's saying something!

He was not defending Coulthard. he was defending Schumacher for driving dangerously against him. More to the point he was defending aggressive, dangerous drivining and condoning driving competitors off the track. If you cannot see any hypocrisy here then there is no point continuing the discussion.

Get over yourself mate, I don't single anyone out. If I see something stupid written I will quote it no matter who posted it, just so happens you have written a lot i disagree with! this is a forum so you better get used to people disagreeing with you!
Whats this about liking Hamilton more than me? you see... stupid comments you're full of them!!!

You don't single anyone out? Well that's just the biggest load of manure I've read in a long time. I have no problem with someone disagreeing with me, I have a problem with someone who constanlty single one erson out to make lame bottom jokes about and try and ridicule. So what if you don't like my opinion, I couldn't give a flying f***. I don't like most of the stuff you write, but I choose to ignore most of it as there is no point in getting bogged down in a mindless agrument. Yet again, I ask that you ignore me as it is clear we cannot get along. Do you think you can manage this time? I'm sure there are plenty other members you can find to hassle thus saving you the trouble of having to spend all your time disagreeing with every little thing I say.

haha No i wont ignore you because clearly you cannot ignore me. You want me to ignore you? Then stop quoting me. Or do you need the last word or some primitive mindset like that? But anyways, rest assured I will continue posting as I always have, I will not be told who I can and cant quote this is a forum aftervall not a boys club. Dont like it? the doors that way!!! :wavey:

Well Bud, it's you that jumps on everything I write despite me asking you to ingnore me. In fact the only time I have quoted anything of yours is when you have quoted mine. But if you think you can chase me off of here well you're wrong. Well you can quote who you like, as can I but the difference is I'm bored of off topic arguments, you're clearly not but that's you're bag.

As for the last word, I did ask if you could manage to ignore me and then you replied so that tells me all I need to know.

And now we have the mod's stepping in. See, this fued you have with me achieves nothing.

Any Hamilton fans might want to avoid The Sun sports pages and Nextgen Auto 'cos it could get you mad. In fact everyone avoid it as it'll either inspire or annoy, depending on what side of the fence you sit on.

Apparantly, those very unfunny chaps at The Sun have labelled Hamilton and Lewis Whamilton. Bet those bottom feeders have been working on that since Sunday afternoon. Expect a traditional tabloid flip-flop when Hamilton wins again.

In fact, I suggest Hamilton fans avoid the Sun's website as well. Makes Niki lauda look quite moderate on the whole thing. Going for a bit of a character assasination with one report called Hamilton's 6 of the worst - cheap journalism at it's worst. And they've even praised a German driver. Oh how times have changed!
#272121
Wouldnt bother reading the Sun whatever was in it. Reading age 7yrs.
#272122
I read it on Nextgen Auto and they had referenced the Sun so I had a quick look. The Sun only has one page worth looking at.

But it's crap like this that just feeds the hate. Really quite sad that this is the level of British journalism and the number of people that read the Sun. I think that is a bit of an insult to 7 year olds. More like 4! I wouldn't even put my muddy boots on a copy of the Sun!
#272140
You wouldn't put your muddy boots on it, but you'd still take a look at it and read it eh? As bud says, your logic is undeniable. :D

Not at all. I read the "Whamilton" slur on Nextgen Auto, which is quite a good site, and had to see just how over the top the Sun had gone. As expected they had gone far too over the top. Besides, the Sun has 1 redeaming feature though the quality of this does vary.

Just shows how pathetically fickle the British tabloid press are. When Hamilton wins, they'll think he is the best thig since the last best thing, and when he doesn't do so well they'll be back to sticking the boot in. The same can be said for any British sports person when covered in the tabloids.
