So how can Raikkonen the the Spa master?

I'm asking that about Schumacher. So this debate is futile, as scotty has said.

Shouldn't have started onthe Spa-meister thing then. I notice the one who first used the term Spa-meister is conspicuous in their absence. :groucho:

It is just a case of :deadhorse: .

Wait, why did a horse have to die in all of this? :(

'Cos they is stupid! What other self respecting animals lets a shortarse in silk sit on their back and whip them? :hehe:

:P

Can we eat it? I mean, it would be a shame to let it go to waste...

Of course! Never tried horse meat but I see no harm in eating them. :dindins:

If we're not careful we will go off topic very soon.

It's lovely. I happen to hold the same opinion of kangaroo, if you want to try something a little more exotic... :hehe:

I've tried kangaroo and liked it. :D

But even then you could argue it's still not comparable because of differences in how competitive the cars they have had at the time were!

Oh dear, i fear we're about to get bogged down and go round in circles here :hehe:

ok, lets look at Schumachers wins

1992 - Had the 2nd or 3rd fastest car, 1-2 Seconds a lap slower than Mansell at stages of the race.
1994 - Same pace as Hill and crushed him (before being harshly stripped of the win)
1995 - Same pace as the Williams, had to come from P16 on the grid. Hill started 8th and still lost.
1996 - 3rd Fastest car - The Willams and Benetton were a lot quicker
1997 - 2nd fastest car - Willams was much faster
2001 - Fastest car
2002 - Fastest car

So, out of Schumacher's 7 wins (6 if you dont count 1994), he only had the fastest car twice. This I think proves how good Schumacher was around a drivers curcuit.

Hammer, you've achieved one of the greatest thread derailings ever. I've not seen this much carnage since the Selby rail crash.....

Well, let's get it back on track.

It seems that Boullier may be blaming Heidfeld for his car going kaboom.

There, the thread is back on track. for my next trick I'll walk on water. Sploosh!! Aw dammit!

Not sure if I'd want Boullier as my boss. Never really liked that chap. Just seems a bit unfriendly and cold, but of course, that doesn't stop him from being a suitable team principal...

My concern is more for the marshal here...

There's not really anything in either which suggest it was Heidfeld's fault, though, right? Surely he wouldn't have sat there without a problem, whether that was a wheel going on slowly or a clutch issue.

Obviously this would be a great time to make a Spa thread. Dont you think?

Are you crazy? It's not for four weeks! Do you know how much we could argue in that time?

Done before both these posts...well, Spa deserves a monster thread I presume. Being Spa and all. And do you remember that time we nearly lost Spa for good...it wasn't on the calendar for a couple of years!! :crying:

Gutted for Hamilton. Not sure that he deserved the win after his spin but his effort deserved a podium finish. Still he seems to be learning how to handle setbacks with a fightback to fourth place with a bold overtake on Webber, which reminded me of a similar move Mansell made on Senna when he was driving for Ferrari.
Not sure who made the decision, but to stay on the super softs was the start of the decline before the intermediate tyre fiasco cropped up.
It was edge of the seat driving but this time it didn't pay off. Hopefully the fortune will change in Belgium.
Good win for Button but at the moment he only seems to be able to win on a changeable track when being on the right tyre is key.

Well Di Resta was the only 1 affected by the burnout and he did say he didn't see him, believe Hamilton or don't i would guess you and Andrew would instantly choose not to going off previous attitudes towards him.

But anyway not saying he wasn't in the wrong or that he didn't deserve the penalty but in that position i doubt many drivers would have done it differently.

He lost the race because of bad mistakes made by him, the team or most likely a combination of the both, do you really need to spout Hamilton hatred aswell? he did apologise to Di Resta ^^

No one is spouting hatred. We are just discussing an incident. Besides, this is very tame compared with some of the pish that gets flung at Vettel.

There have been similar incidents and on most occasions the driver waits until the traffic has passed. Hamilton in his eagerness to get on with the race was a bit too quick to get going. Just one of those things, accept it and move on. Hamilton has is his post race interview is anything to go by.

I think a similar thing happened with Lewis in his GP2 days
