I think these rumours are coming up as Red Bull want to get Vodka onboard to make the the F1 equivalent of the popular cocktail....

Unfortunately Kimis representatives want to up the ante and have at least as many parts Vodka to Red Bull, Whilst Kimi himself wants to skip the Red Bull completely and start his own Vodka Racing Team.

The Bild does have a reputation for leaning to the sensational -- check out the article on celebs who shave their pubes -- but even inveterate liars sometimes accidentally tell the truth.

However, in his time with Ferrari, Räikkönen developed a reputation for not working to develop a relationship with his engineers, not extending himself to provide them the feedback they regard crucial to the car's development. He's a lone wolf, marches to a different drummer, pick your cliché. Vettel is the exact opposite. So it makes little sense to make Webber redundant, not for his race results but for his indifference to team goals, and replace him with someone even more obstinate.

Well this is vital information! :D

I think too many people regard Kimi to high myself.Seb would beat him for sure :hehe:

I think it must be a Finish thing. We used to see with Hakkinen that when he was on it, he was the only guy that concerned Schumacher, not a bad accolade to have. But when things were not going great, his head seemed to go and there was no motivation. Exactly the same thing happened with Raikkonen it would seem.

Raikkonen appeared to be a totally different person outside the F1 world. When I have seen him interviewed during the WRC coverage, even when things have been going badly, he laughs and smiles. I guess the world of McLaren and Ferrari were far too staid for him.

I really don't see Kimi Raikkonen coming back to F1 after two years out of the sport; He may be quick but he never seemed committed to making the team better or even doing the sponsorship duties that were part of his contract, he wanted to be an F1 racer without having to put in the hard work to earn the mega $$$ he was paid. I think it's pretty obvious to all that F1 was not his first passion; he's made his money out of the sport and has moved onto other interests. Plus Sebastian Vettel is the golden boy at RB; he wouldn't like the serious challenge, I don't believe Christian Horner would allow for two drivers to be completely equal within the team, hence while I never see Raikkonen or Hamilton going to RB until after Vettel departs.

Red Bull motorsport consultant Dr Helmut Marko calls reports that former world champion Kimi Raikkonen will return to F1 with Red Bull, "far-fetched and total nonsense". Marko also added that one of Red Bull's three junior drivers would replace Mark Webber when the Australian is ready to step down.

Before Lewis, I was a staunch Kimi supporter....but even I'm getting tired of this "hope" of Kimi coming back.

Hasn't the message hit home yet? HE'S NOT INTERESTED.

Why are people still interested in him?? Raikkonen threads should be moved to "Anything Else"...it ain't F1 anymore. :D

This Kimi return might be true - I heard Newey is already designing a larger water bottle for the RB8:-
