- 30 Jun 11, 12:12#263414Actually not such a bad idea. I actually think Liuzzi isn't a bad steerer. Putting Ricciardo against him will be a decent gauge of relative speed. The car is that slow that expectations will be non existent so to speak, except to outpace Liuzzi by seasons end. It also gives him race experience which is most important. Having to try setup and drive a car like that can only help develop his technical learning curve, and is an opportunity to drive a different car and compare with the STR.
He is no doubt the next anointed Red Bull 'school' star, so it is a free education in F1. No doubt some much needed cash ( no doubt it was a cheap deal) goes HRT's way, and they a recognized talent, not just a chopper that comes along with bags of gold.....
