Whilst I don't like the short lifespan of the tyres, KERS or DRS this season is pretty good. It helps that the guy I'm cheering for is winning but it would still be pretty good if he wasn't winning.
MrE is concerned with the entertainment value of F1. With more "passing" through DRS, Vettel running rings round everyone else and Hamilton crashing everytime the wind changes direction (incidently, it was flat calm in Valencia and the walls around the track provide quite a bit of shelter

) there is entertainment right through the field, which of course will attract new fans and maybe attract back some folks who gave up on F1.
On one hand, a driver dominating can be boring. On the other hand, as a F1 fan I am just happy to see someone driving extremely well and performing at the top of their game.
During the Schumacher domination (loved it!) I was very happy at being able to witness F1 legend being made. Although I have been watching F1 for my whole life, I wasn't really paying too much attention for the 1st 10 years, so I can't remember watching the Prost/Senna battles live, though can watch them thanks to the wonder of t'internet. Other than that, most of the F1 legend spoken about was before my time. Because of this, I am happy to see someone at the top of their game and if it's boring, well tough - I'm getting to see F1 legend being written my lifetime.
That's put a positive spin on the Vettel domination. Everybody happy now!
