Lewis is the only driver worth watching.

In that case, everyone else might as well be sunny themselves on their Monaco balconies... If Lewis is the only one on the track, he's guaranteed the win and can't bash anyone off the track... :hehe:

That was a joke... before I get called a hater... :P

Eddie Irvine has always been an opinionated bottom; and I see nothing has changed!

And to previous posters, what Lewis does off the track is his concern. Why all the fuss becuase his friends are musicians?? So what? Would it be ok to have musician friends if you never had an accident? Was it ok to have musician friends when he won the championship? He's a racing driver, the best one around in my opinion. What's it matter what he does when he's not in the car.

If Lewis was caught sniffing white fluff in a fancy bars toilets it would have an effect on his racing.

To suggest what he does in private doesnt coincide with his racing career is a bit naive i feel.

Not only that, but as per usual the knee-jerk responses from those that only look to argue has given you the impression that someone, when infact nobody has suggested his friends shouldnt be musicians.

Youll find it was me that had (and still has) the opinion thats being misconstrued by others, and if you read my first few posts youll see my stance

Sniffing the white stuff is illegal. I was talking about the everyday legal things that it seems popular to lambast lewis over

I think what some people were getting at was that his garage shouldn't be an F1 VIP room during a red flag. What he does on his own time is not an issue. Of course, you could argue that he was out of the race anyway, so what does it matter? Still, at the very least it comes off as unprofessional. Presumably the rest of the team was still hard at work fixing his car or preparing for the rest of Jenson's race.

But at the end of the day, I guess it's the team's decision. Surprised the heck out of me to see that, but if it doesn't bother them, then whatever.

We could go on with these logical check mates all day RC, being an arrogant twat who publicly calls the other drivers and his own team w*nkers is legal. It has an effect.

I was simply saying i dont THINK, Lewis is private life and his own attitude towards the rest of the paddock is helping him a great deal.

Its just the impression i get that hes really not the same, in 2007 he was good as gold, no hand waving, no media slip ups, 2008 good as gold, no media slip ups.

2010, a couple of hand waves maybe it was just the one, and the ever increasing presence of peopl that sing about smoking crack and killing cops. Few media slip ups.

2011.......its a third of the way into the season, and hes already implied racism, invited the entire R&B music scene into his garage and chatted like he was glad hed just got himself out of the race, and called every other driver a joke.

If you dont agree then fine. I think its having a detrimental effect, like when your parents tell you you shouldnt hang around with people at school cause theyre bad influences. Hamilton hangs out with P diddy, who is a convicted gang member.

He seems way moer interested in the social side of his life then the racing side, and its sad to see. You might not see it but the signs are there for all.

I think you have a very short memory if you think Lewis only began courting controvesy this season. To suggest he is more interested in the social side than in racing is ludicrous. You say the whole R&B scene were in his garage? That must have been mighty crowded then.

The irony is that Eddie Irvine was a total wild child himself - and didn't hesitate to create a playboy image for himself when he was racing in F1. He was almost approaching James Hunt's standards....

Just look at him in the picture in the link below;

I dont remember saying hes only began courting controversy, i dont remember saying he was controversial.

And lets not be facetious please.

I think this is why the anti-lewis' in terms of just not supporting him, have to visit psychiatrists and bite their tongue so much on here, because everything said that doesnt swing Lewis' way, hits whoever said it smack in the face in the form of reverb off the ruling class on here.

If your not going to listen to a Lewis fan tell you that home truth, i dont know what will convince you.

Theres nothing in that post thats of any worth carrying on discussing, because none of it is what i said, and that that is, was exaggeration to persuade, not literal truth.

All ive said is that i dont feel Lewis is on the right tracks, he cant lose his talent as a driver, thats forever. But he has shown signs of being a bit wayward.

I think you forget what you do say/imply! But you know what, Im too tired for this :wavey:

Maybe that's your problem mate, you think any negative comment about Lewis from you is the truth just because you're a fan. Which is bull.

There's no proof that his 'friends' are affecting his driving, its your opinion. He had guests frequently visiting back in 2007, his rookie season and it didn't distract him. What's distracting him is the fact that every lap he does in the McLaren, the Redbull can simply do it better thanks to Newey magic.

No i do not, my opinion is just as fallible as Bills or The Rams or the mods or whoever.

But it holds a substantial amount of water in terms of this forums allegiances when one of "your own" turns on your driver. People should at least consider taking notice that they might be wrong when that happens, mainly because it hardly ever happens, and most people that will go as far as to "criticise their driver" only do it in a thin venner sandwiched by a diss on another driver.

I really hate arguing on here, seriously, i hate that you get earmarked as an "arguer" and nobody takes you seriously. But i do find everyone wants to pick on everything i say no matter how i word it.

The most effective way to prevent from being labeled an "arguer" is to state your opinion once.
