I find it odd that age seems to make such a massive difference in this sport ( or so the commentators would have you think ) Eddie Jordon lambasted Sauber for putting DelaRosa in the drivers seat, saying he was 'too old' what is the major difference between a driver in his 20's and a driver in his 40's? Is it reaction time or is it physical?

Probably its beleiving how invincible you are. That works better at twenty than forty.

I don't think eddie's problem with that situation was that De La Rosa was just too old. The problem was he got thrown into a car which he was not used to driving, and nearly crashed in qualy (or was it P3?). If Sauber thought there was even a remote chance of Sergio not driving, which is always the case when concussions are involved, they should have had their own test driver prepped and ready to go. And they had no one.

Yes. That was so short sighted!

I would love to believe it but, I don't think the Mercedes would be pouring millions into a team that only one driver is trying in. Plus I think the Schumacher legend would of been worth more than that.

I hope you are right, it would be a fantastic story! But unfortunately he seems more like a fallen god struggling against his own mortality.
