I admit I don't know much about F1 history. Just thought over the past 60 or whatever years there might be someone with more points if they were all on the same system.

Excellent pics! Way better than anything I ever end up with. I get a blur that could be any car on the grid. Enjoy!

Use a faster shutter speed as Jason said, or you can pan the camera (move it with that car) so that the car is sharp and the background is blured.

in the olden days there was maybe half a dozen races a year. If you transposed Schueys wins into 25 points each he would be even further ahead.

IIRC Fangio would beat him on race/win ratio.

Apparently the clouds are building and rain is high on the agenda. This could be a red-flag themed qualifying session.

Great pics thanks for posting. I too like the one with the marshall with the electronic flag board. Also the crane with the camera... I love that it has the two boom mikes, I always wondered how the sound was done since it is so good.. More little details like that would be cool if you see them.

Vettel on for another win? sixth pole of the season, can anyone stop Red Bull? Mark Webber even managed fourth without the use of KERS; what is with that? Mark has been without KERS for much of the season thusfar when he team mate has had KERS more often than not! Disappointing day for McLaren; fifth and seventh on the grid; gambling on a wet race might come to bite them in the backside. Good performance from Ferrari, second and third is a great result; I think it's good for Massa to be matching Alonso on pace. Mercedes are languishing again; sixth and eighth when many were expecting them to be strong in Canada. Paul Di Resta did very well again, just missing out on a top 10 berth and Kamui Kobayashi, great fun to watch even if his Sauber didn't have the pace in Montreal; loved that power slide towards the wall of champions; that boy has balls of steal!

Vettel again,

I wonder if Ferrari got caught out there, Ted said that they were planning to do three fast runs for the tyres (hence Ferrari doing a racing pitstop), and both Ferrari's crossed the line (and took the chequered flag) just after the session timer ran out, maybe Ferrari were intending to do another fast lap there. Unlikely, admittedly.

Massa being so close to Alonso, suggests the car is performing well again, it seems when the Ferrari is genuinely struggling it shows most in Massa's performances (sliding, lock up etc.), and the gap between him and Alonso opens up.

Webber said he didn't have kers again, and Horner stated that redbull were going to work on their kers again between quali and the race.

Lets see what happens with the McLaren's choosing a wet setup, the other teams didn't seem too bothered, and the drivers didn't seem too positive. Initially I thought it was a good call, starting to doubt that now, lets see what happens - if it rains after all.

Not a good weekend for Sauber, surprised they didn't bring a reserve driver in tow, unless they genuinely would prefer Rosa to their usual third driver?

Force India seem decent, all things considered.

It's looking like a scrap between Mercedes and Renault

I guess that McLaren are trying something different in an effort to beat Red Bull as they don't seem to be able to do it on race pace; but it seemingly backfired unless it does rain tomorrow!

Racechick had a 2nd chance to think about it and still didn't remember dear old Grandpa MS! Sigh...talk about a torn apart legacy.

No I had him. And lewis and Vetel and Alonso and Button. How many did I say? This could be a calculating problem

edit. even so he's no legend in my book. Sorry.

You said 4,
1. Vettel,
2. Button,
3. Hamilton,
4. Alonso,
5. Schumacher.

:whip::whip::whip::whip:

(I put them in chronological order, before the forum erupts into a warzone, not worthiness)

Im a little bemused here. McLaren and lewis are good here. Very good. So are they playing a clever game? Jenson didnt seem to think so. Have they gambled on wet too much or been very clever? i was suprised before quali when McLaren said they didnt have the top speed pace? they're usually good at this? surely they arent still bluffing? What d'you reckon's going on?

I reckon at least one of the Ferrari's will get Vettel in to the first corner. The Red Bull was only just quicker in the qualifying session; over the race distance, I think Ferrari have them covered unless the weather or incidents get in the way.
