- 29 May 11, 18:02#258018absolutely insane / crazy / ridiculous race don't know where to begin.
Jensen was supreme, why people do not think he didn't deserve the win is beyond me, there were 2 factors to why he didn't win and win by a very large margin. 1. the bad strategy 2. the red flag
vettel got away with it today, he managed his tyres well enough to be worthy of the win, but its a pretty hollow one.
alonso proved that he could still make his Ferrari work after such a poor finish to Barcelona last week and deserves that 2nd spot.
BUT
the race as a whole was absolute shambolic, pretty much ever since Perez's off yesterday. The teams strategies, redbull blagged it / poor pit stops from most of the teams. next the stewards calls, Hamiltons first was not worthy of a drive through, it looked worse than it actually was, hamilton was correct if you look back at the incident massa did turn very very early rather than the traditional wide exit, admittedly this was probably to cover hamilton off but because hamilton was at this point quite desperate it was already to late, an incident yes but nothing more than a racing one. I would call the second a racing incident aswell but i can see why there would be a an argument that it was avoidable. hamilton's incident at the hairpin really cant be compared to Di Resta's just because they are the same corner and on the inside, Di Resta's was far more a lunge on the inside than hamilton.
As for the interview everyone is getting hot and bothered about. Someone in formula one speaks there mind for once and everyone gets very upset and say they are going off the rails. Lewis came across as someone who had a very frustrating weekend but that's all, if he legitimately felt victimized they would complain via the proper legal channels. As for the Ali G joke, ITS A JOKE admittedly a bad one but a joke non the less and it is used in context in the uk for someone being singled out not as an accusation of racism.
Lets all just move on, today's race was mental.
