Its the kind of thing you know he made out as if it was a joke, but you know full well thats what he ment.like you say if the boot was on the other foot and it was said about him it would be uproar.
Big error by Lewis on this one,yes he will make out it was heat of the moment stuff, but at the end of the day no it wasn't in my view.
I'm normally one that sticks up for Lewis as well.

In summary and I hope you all agree it was a great race and one we have not seen at Monaco in what 15-20yr's?

It was a very good race. Perhaps not the best in all that long... but it was a very good classic Monaco race. Had it not been for the strange ending, but then again, Monaco is classic for those kind of events.......

The battle for the lead was incredible. To have that big crash happen right in front of the leading 3 cars on the pool section... that was epic. I'm sorry it ruined the last 10 laps of the race... but man, that was amazing.

Other than that... i really can't see how anyone could possibly defend Hamilton after this race. He made mistakes all over, and got handed the regular and expected penalties for the mistakes he made; which not only were out of order, but also had race-ending consequences for the other drivers. Then he goes on complaining about the stewards and the drivers defending when he is one of the dirtiest defenders on the grid. Shut up and take it like men, stop acting like there's some grand conspiracy scheme and that the 'stewards' are ruining racing :irked: own up!!

Hamilton is the perpetual rookie.

Lol..i expect nothing less from the billthebender, some things are just ingrained.

I love you too.

absolutely insane / crazy / ridiculous race don't know where to begin.

Jensen was supreme, why people do not think he didn't deserve the win is beyond me, there were 2 factors to why he didn't win and win by a very large margin. 1. the bad strategy 2. the red flag

vettel got away with it today, he managed his tyres well enough to be worthy of the win, but its a pretty hollow one.

alonso proved that he could still make his Ferrari work after such a poor finish to Barcelona last week and deserves that 2nd spot.

BUT

the race as a whole was absolute shambolic, pretty much ever since Perez's off yesterday. The teams strategies, redbull blagged it / poor pit stops from most of the teams. next the stewards calls, Hamiltons first was not worthy of a drive through, it looked worse than it actually was, hamilton was correct if you look back at the incident massa did turn very very early rather than the traditional wide exit, admittedly this was probably to cover hamilton off but because hamilton was at this point quite desperate it was already to late, an incident yes but nothing more than a racing one. I would call the second a racing incident aswell but i can see why there would be a an argument that it was avoidable. hamilton's incident at the hairpin really cant be compared to Di Resta's just because they are the same corner and on the inside, Di Resta's was far more a lunge on the inside than hamilton.

As for the interview everyone is getting hot and bothered about. Someone in formula one speaks there mind for once and everyone gets very upset and say they are going off the rails. Lewis came across as someone who had a very frustrating weekend but that's all, if he legitimately felt victimized they would complain via the proper legal channels. As for the Ali G joke, ITS A JOKE admittedly a bad one but a joke non the less and it is used in context in the uk for someone being singled out not as an accusation of racism.

Lets all just move on, today's race was mental.

on another note, what the f*** were all the back markers doing at the pool i could swear there was a rule or at least an unwritten one that was about not forcing your way through if the person in front has been forced like you to get out of the way for the leaders.

Oh, god and here we go,do we really need reminding of something that is in full discussion in this thread.

viewtopic.php?f=2&t=10441

Is this just a stealth thread to have a dig at Lewis, come on admit you really want this thread to turn into an anti Hamilton thread.

No other reason than to stir it up billthebender. :nono:

As for the race card ,well judging by Bernie attitude for racist behaviour i think Lewis has a point. Many of us are in agreement and it has been obvious from day one.

I expect this thread from you though, some things are just ingrained.

The title is Vettel's, youv'e got to hand it to him, while his 2010 form was far from convincing, he has been absolutely untouchable so far this season.

While some here do not find him good enough, i still don't rate him too high. That's the car's fault, not his.

He shouldn't get pole at only Monza and Canada this year. And that'll be that..
CORRECTED

Typical of your camp I suppose. When you can't argue the facts, you resort to 12 year old entertainment such as this. Your boy blew it today. He blew it in a huge way and then he stuck both feet in his mouth during the interview. Now you are upset. I would be too. If my hero, who I spend all of my time praising as a god made SUCH a c*ck of it as this....I would be upset too. I wouldn't be in here making myself look as bad as you are, but I'd be upset none the less.

As for the Ali G joke, ITS A JOKE admittedly a bad one but a joke non the less and it is used in context in the uk for someone being singled out not as an accusation of racism.

So, lets say during an interview with Massa he was asked why Hamilton pulled that Bonzai move and is crying so loudly to reporters.....lets just say Massa responded with something like "well he's black...(laughs), so I guess he's rather excitable" Are you going to tell me that joke would be appropriate in your mind? Its never appropriate to accuse an entire group of racism. When you accuse someone of racism, even if you laugh nervously after you say it....it's not funny. It's not appropriate. It's not right....and when people defend it, it just makes them look as stupid as the guy that said it.

So your defense of what he said is that Bernie is ok with such things? Bernie? I'm sorry man, but that's weak. It's incredibly weak. Are you also going to claim that you had nothing negative to say about Bernie when he didn't penalize fans for being stupid? What exactly do you think Bernie could have done in that instance? A drive through penalty for half a dozen drunk idiot fans? In this case however, it's a driver....talking to reporters...at a racetrack. Completely different from fans acting stupid.

Surely you can do better than a play on my screen name. Seriously, that's all you got?

Back on topic. When I made the thread I didn't realize this was in a full rage discussion in the Monaco thread. We don't get BBC over here, so I didn't see the interview as quickly as you likely did.

Just watching the re-run what the hell was Lewis thinking about trying that move on Massa pure stupidity.

Props to you for being able to evaluate the situation objectively, rather than just assuming that your own Team's guy is in the right.

Really! you didn't realise their was a full disccusion going on about this subject in the Monaco thread yet you made post in that thread on this subject. :yikes:

Just admit you started this thread knowing the discussion was going on in the other thread just so you could stir it up and have your dig.

The shackles were taking off over a long time ago no need to hold grudges.

Better to close this thread, wouldn't you agree billthebender.
