I thought I saw him go straight into the chicane and then rejoin the track from the middle/side of the chicane...

You tawt you taw a puddy tat.

Or maybe you were busy updating your Flavio Briatore fan site, because what was on screen at the time was Jenson's lap in which he did cut straight through the chicane and pretty much backed it up from there. So we didn't see it, but the marshals sure did!

Early morning, my eyes are still sleepy :hehe:

Shame we couldn't see what Lewis could do. Hypothetically I would have given the edge to Vettel given pas form in Q3. Seeing Button set his lap in the first of 4 fuelled there is certainly a little more in the McLaren.

What gets to me in the whining. Lewis was praising his strategy in China of saving the tyres and doing 1 run. You take a risk and when it didn't pay off he goes complaining about it and publically. Its fine to disagree with the decsion behind closed doors and he has every reason to be disappointed but to venting to the press does not impress.

With it being Monaco I doubt we will see any mad dashes like the last few races but we can always hope. I don't want to have a champion crowned so early in the season.

Apples/oranges. In china, grid position was much less relevant, and tire degradation much more relevant than in Monaco. So it makes a lot more sense to sacrifice tires for more Q laps.

I'm not saying it wasn't the wrong thing to do. Just that ok you let the team make the calls its a bad swing to go from praising them for a good one then go to another race where they get it wrong and say publically I'm the driver and I know better why didn't they listen to me.

I think that was Jenson coming out of the tunnel DD, Lewis must have straight lined the swimming pool. Dissapointing but in reality if he did a banker he wouldn't have been in that situation. Lewis shouldn't complain either, say to his engineers I want to do a banker instead of whinging afterwards.

Well, the best way for him to repay to his team tomorrow is to drive the best way he can. I doubt he'll have problems with that.

The only quote about that I've read is, "With hindsight, we probably should have put a banker in."

Unless you guys are referring to some other quote, that is not whining. That's stating the obvious. I doubt it's causing any turmoil within the team.

I just re read the article quoting Lewis, you're right he didn't really whinge, he said the engineers and I didn't think of doing a banker when they should have. I read it when I just woke up and angry he got a penalty :hehe:

You guys are ruining it for everybody!

How good must it be as a driver, turning up to a race, knowing you're the number 1 in your team, driving a car that is a second a lap faster than the rest and the only guy who has challenged you was going to start from 7th but got penalized back to 10th.

You'd call it an average drive if, in that car, he only lapped everyone up to 3rd.

I had a dream, nightmare more like it that Lewis was so charged up to overtake...he started overtaking in the formation lap and accidentally buried his front nose into Massa's Ferrari. :P:hehe:
