Yeah sure Hamilton the tire destroyer was going to do a 3 stopper and Jenson smooth as silk a 4 stopper. Believe what you want and I will do the same.

They both started on a three stopper, Lewis went to plan B remember?

Again, Jenson said he pitted too early, that suggests he didn't think he had to come in.

You really think Jenson raced Lewis just out of spite?

Hamilton was NEVER on a 3 stopper and you can take that to da Bank. That's why he even was mad at McLaren for sending him out twice in Q3,coz he wanted to save a fresh set.

What was plan B then?

Anyway, McLaren team policy doesn't require Jenson to care about Lewis's strategy over his own.

He eventually got through

Which is what YYYY was unable to do. :hehe:

What is it with Turkey? It's always such a boon to forum discussion, I hope they're on the calendar again next year.

Now, YYYY used DRS. Then, YYYY used RS to get by.
Pretty much the same thing :P

Turkey is great. I really like it. I think many circuits are going to be reborn with the new regs.

Can you explain to me last race why Jenson didn't go in pit when called ,leaving Lewis to dry and losing 2 spots, than going and parking it the RB lane??

Either Jenson is very smart and obsessed with beating Lewis or very very DUMB

I get this vibe from Jense that he is very sneaky, and he did have a fallout with Rubens of all people ,so.............

Ahhh so McLaren don't want their drivers to finish in the best positions possible!? That's why I say McLaren don't deserve Lewis.

:hehe: Yeah, how could someone fall out with Rubens.

In this interview (which I don't think you can see), Lewis confirms he started on a 4 stop: http://news.bbc.co.uk/sport1/hi/formula ... 327370.stm. He also said "Jenson was fair, as always".

Yeah, Jenson stopped in the redbull pitlane, not sure what that had to do with Lewis?

Also in his blog, Ted Kravitz suggested Jenson lost out because he was too slow in the second and third stints. Although Jenson said he was on the wrong strategy.

McLaren say their happy for their drivers to fight with each other, I don't think that translates into them not wanting to finish into the best position possible. But its up to you if you agree thats the best way for them to finish in the best position possible, if you don't, its the same reason Ferrari swapped Massa and Alonso in Germany, Alonso winning the race was the best position for the WDC.

So it is definite Lewis was on a 4 stopper from the go? So I've been right all along and will accept your apologies :hehe:

Mistype, he said: "That forced me into a 4 stop", so he started on a three stop.

Sorry, to get your hopes up.

I've already said, McLaren team policy still allows Jenson to race Lewis even if Lewis was on a 4stopper.

And McLaren can go another 14 years without a title but they can brag we let our drivers race

"Lewis changed from three to four and I didn't. If the second pitstop had gone perfectly and they maybe had told me to push harder it might have come out differently. But I was stuck behind Massa. It was very, very difficult and I was very frustrated. On the last stint I was a sitting duck. I was the only one on that three-stop strategy."

http://www.guardian.co.uk/sport/2011/ma ... grand-prix,

So then, you do agree with team orders?
#254944
No!!!!!!!!!! But I don't want to see 2007 again because one driver can't beat the other and tries all kinds of sh!t to do so.

Yeah, but that requires team orders. Or just relying on a huge amount of luck (that the actions of one driver don't negatively effect another).
#254946
Vapting i'm sorry to say this but you'd have to pretty dumb to think Lewis would do 3 stops the way he was pushing. McLaren PR is on damage control because a lot of fans are pissed by the results!

So you are saying that Lewis is lying and team orders are ok. Pretty much directly in conflict with everything you stated could be taken to the bank mere months ago. The radio call clearly put Lewis on plan B...which he now admits was a 4 stop strategy....but because you told us he was on a 4 from the beginning (taken to the bank)...we're supposed to believe you, and not the team or the driver. I take it you work for the team then?
