- 21 Apr 11, 16:32#252710i think of Kubica every day, i broke my wrist about 5 weeks ago..... thought at the most i'd miss Melbourne.... so far i've lost the first 3 rounds (would have been 4 with Bahrain) with no idea yet as to when mobility will be at least 90%........ the difficult thing is i got my cast removed yesterday and thought it was going to be normal right away. Fractures look well healed, but i dont even have 15% flexibility in my wrist/thumb. And from the looks of it, it will take at least 1-2 months to regain full mobility.
Every other day, i fear i may never regain full mobility... there's this optimism that everything will be fine, but only everyonece in a while i think what if this wrist stays stiff and painful as it is now?? its frustrating. i told the dr i should be ok as i've had a torn knee ligament and it worked out fine and so on... he said the hand is a whole different thing. Much more painful, much more difficult. Can't hellp but think of what is Kubica feeling, specially knowing he was going to ferrari next yr.
And all i broke (not even full open fractures like Kubica's) were 2 small bones in the hand/wrist and got some ligament damage while going at like 50 kph.............
Kubica is out for the season, possibly done with his career. his injuries were hardcore amongst hardcore.
Came out fighting indeed.
