as silly as the name is, if it gets us two GPs, it's fine with me.

Maybe we could go back to Phoenix? but I don't see a second GP in the US; there isn't a big enough demand for it here in the US; every one talks about NASCAR here in Kansas but look at me blankly when I mention Formula 1, although a New York Grand Prix sounds appealing!

yeah, I was half-joking. But now that you mention it, I like racing around in Times Square in Forza 2 & 3. Would be awesome, for sure.

Oh my thats new new's too me !! On that note I'm free to express my dismay and/or dislike of said opinions so no need to get all defensive. You don't like the track, the name or the idea of a US GP thats your perogative yet as I mentioned I'm free to express myself aswell.

I dont know, maybe its not a stupid name but I think people expected a bit more creativity?

If Malaysia named its track "Track of the Asians" I'd roll my eyes a bit at that too man.

It implies that it is one circuit which serves all races for the Americas, which is entirely untrue and somewhat takes away from the importance of all other circuits based on both the North and South continents. It seems an attempt to make it seem bigger than it really is, rather than giving it a 'normal' name and letting the racing do the talking. If it's good, then it will gain good standing in history by having fantastic competition there. If not, it will fade away like many other boring tracks eventually will.

Even 'The Ranch', which probably sounds more Texan* but completely unrelated to motorsport, would be a better choice...

* This is, of course, based on a significant amount of assumption and American television; I'm not from Texas, nor indeed America, so I cannot say for sure.

Hammer is right, stupid isnt the right word. The name is lame. Something a bit more interesting would have satisfied me more.

How about "FUALL" for a track name?? In all reality complaining about a name is just the same as saying "This dress makes my arse look too big, what do you think?"

I know a sizeable amount of people who are more mature than many 40 year olds. I refuse to be one of them!!!!!!!!!!! texas and the name of the circuit!! I'm still gonna do everything I can to get to the first GP in 2012 though
