True. The biggest coward in Formula One. He never wanted a good teammate or one able to compete him. No doubt he was a good driver and is a great, however, because of yellow-belly antics we'll never know truly how good he was and can only be ranked as a pretty poor champion, if you know what I mean. Real champions aren't afraid of a challenge. Schumacher was.

He beat everyone else in lesser machinery, no need to prove to his own team he's number 1.

The 1998/1999 McLaren's were a masterpiece, far superior then any other car, Schumi still beat them on many occasions.

I'm fairly sure the 1997 Williams was the class of the field also, still Schumi also took the fight to them, beat them on a few occasions as well.

It was only after 2000 when the Schumacher/Ferrari Marriage really got into full swing did they have better machinery. And what happened when Schumi had the best car in the field? 2002 and 2004? Total devastation of thier opposition...

Because they had both supreme performance and reliability - something McLaren was missing even in '98 and '99. And he was occasionally challenged with likes of Edie Irwine and Rubens - decent drivers but hardly top of the line. My point is - in same car and no team orders, MS would have very tough job fencing off (almost) half of current F1 drivers line-up.

I started in 1997 after the Jerez race, it made every headline and I decided to watch the next race, I was hooked.

I'd hardly call Webber a winner.

I don't need to justify to you why I support who I do. It upsets you that Schumacher has so many blind followers, that's understandable, you either love him or hate him, no need to take it out on me however...

so watching Schumi do a dirty deed got you hooked on the bloke! that says something about you Me on the other hand i saw first hand in 94 the real Schumi at the title decider down the road from where i type now. this was before his Ferrari days!
