Until I'd read this, I always had believed CW was a reasonable and rational individual. After reading this, I'm left to wonder if he's made off with Bernie's stash of Alzheimer meds and is having a right old time with them.

CW: - Ban on 'double diffusers'.
- Ban on F-Ducts (driver operated rear wing stall systems).
- More stringent load/deflection tests on the front wing and the front of the floor.
- One additional wheel tether on each wheel.
- Anti-intrusion panels attached to the monocoque around the driver's legs.
- One additional load test on every chassis at a point beneath the driver's seating position.
- Gearboxes will have to last five races instead of four previously.
- Introduction of a 107 per cent minimum qualifying time.
I still dont understand when the heck this gadjit is supposed to be used......... 600 m... at the braking point... timing loops.... WTF
Under the assumption that the Newey wing will be best? Unless you are referring to Vettel's tendency to be fast in qualifying, in which case I disagree. Pure straight line speed is what the driver has the least input on and is mostly the car

Assuming that the Red Bull has the most downforce, they'll be able to use the wing in places other cars can't around corners...

Q is the big question mark... although you'd have to be getting quite a bit of downforce from the diffuser and or mechanical grip in order to be able to enable the MRW. It would be a total fiasco in Qualies if that's the case, the Red Bulls would jut be ahead by greater than 5 or 6 tenths on every track!

Apparently they were already doing it at times in testing, ie round turn 3 at Barcelona. Thing is, i can't see Quali being anywhere near as important this year!

Okay, consider a circuit like Monza as an example. Let's say the ARW zone is between the first and second chicanes. There will be a timing beam just before the first chicane, where the gap is measured. If the following driver is within 1 second at this point, he will be elligible to use the device down the following straight, from a point 600m before the second chicane. Does that make sense?

hmmm ok i get it more or less, so it will be usable only in that straight, or will there be timing beams in all corners before the straights, or is it restricted to the one zone only?? also, you have to get within 1sec all without using the wing......
