Back on the Macca wheelbase comparison, I raised that a while ago, but, you'd have to think it would hurt at Monaco. I was asking at the time why have such a long wheelbase especially as the weight distribution is now regulated.

Well, i think i've said before somewhere that Red Bull elongated their car to allow for different packaging (ie, long and sleek as opposed to short and wide) and you'd assume the same is true for McLaren with their internal layout and those sidepods. Basically, aerodynamic reasons. Although i think McLaren might have had one of the longest cars last year too, so perhaps it's simply a natural progression. Just to dispel a potential myth quickly, short wheelbase does not automatically mean performance on the twisty tracks. It makes the car more responsive, so yes, if you car works well then it'll be very nimble... but if you have handling problems it can exacerbate them, creating an incredibly nervous and twitchy car.

How about this little thingamajig on RB's rear wing.

The little thing in the middle of the main wing? It controls the movable wing element...

So once again it looks like Lewis will have to drag a dog of a car around (please let me be wrong!!) And in a couple o years some clown will come along and say, pah remember how bad lewis was in 2011 :banghead::banghead::banghead::banghead::banghead:

Ahem Jenso too ;-)

Brundle said that Hamilton especially was looking "all at sea" in this car (compared to Button), so we'll see if that is still the case in Melbourne...

I'm just gutted with McLaren's problems.....three years waiting for them to make a competitive car and nothing... if the drivers say the car is not ready then it's clear that it's not ready.
You say be positive and they'll get back on track, and I do believe they have a chance to compete with Ferrari and RB in midseason but seriously, remind me the last time when a team
won a championship after being a clear third in the beginning of the season?

Can't think of one...

"As long as we pick up a good few points in the first few races, then we won't be miles behind.

"Say for example we were able to be in the top five for the first three or four races, get those points, and then if we happen to have a car capable of winning, then it would still be possible.

"So I'm definitely not shutting the year off. Everything is still to play for."

Hamilton claimed he was not concerned about the situation because there was nothing he can do to rectify it.

McLaren :thumbdown::thumbdown::thumbdown:

Relax - there's nothing YOU can do either to rectify it. So, wait for the first race and THEN get your knickers in a twist 8-)

Well, everyone was saying how great he was when he was in a championship running car..... most if not all drivers have to deal with that, so i guess its only fair.

I'm sure they'll be able to get some results, but there's some mighty looking teams seemingly able to give the fight behind the top cars... it might not be that easy with Mercedes, Renault and possibly Sauber and Toro Rosso in the mix for points.

 to all of the above...

No they werent. The same clowns I have in mind wouldnt admit he was great even then. And I know all drivers have to deal with it, he has dealt with it, '09, he put the car where it had no right to be. Last years car was third best. It'd be good if he got a car to really fight for the championship, I guess its only fair.

Seems like someone wished this on Vettel and Webber:
