Well, they could be trying different setups etc. Thanks bud for the times and photographs.

MS is just exceptional - after a year's break and adding a few pounds, he's still the guy to beat.

I thought that would be PDR, seems he is first!

Yes, but if MS is this good in his first test, can you imagine how great he'd be after a few more miles under his butt? In a non-TC car? Looks almost like he recharged his batteries and could be phenomenal for another season if only he'd be motivated enough to do it, but he's not :(

you never know ms for the free mclaren seat ;) lol.

de la rosa is quite impressive and the cars are looking much closer at the top end, renault bmw etc all within ferrari and mclaren times

I'm still not giving up hope that he might comeback for one more year but I doubt it will happen  .

I wouldn't read too much into these tests w/regard to team strength - next season might be more of a driver season as opposed to car season with TC gone. Fast single laps won't ensure a race win if you can't handle non-TC cornering (possibly in the wet) and if you can't take care of your tires.

Great insight DD I think you hit the nail on the head.

I agree.

As for Schumacher coming back, I'd welcome him at McLaren, if he were prepared to compete on equal terms with Hamilton and not expect any preferential treatment.

Its MS now, 1m21.922s

Its a shame he's not on track with any of the other main drivers to give bit more representation, but not bad for an old man.

Schuuuuuumiiiiiiii!!!

really impressive, but i wouldn't like to see him again in F1...a season has closed with his retirment, now we have two of the 3/4 best drivers on the grid...i mean, i'd like to see him being a winner again, but not in F1...
