Interesting timing with the news regarding Ross Brawn. Also the full Ferrari management layout is not fully confirmed yet, Todt was extremely lucky to land the constructors and drivers championships this season, as we all know.

Well, it looks like Ferrari are back to the early and mid '90s. Mainly Italians running the place who haven't got a clue.

Seriously, it would be very silly to underestimate Ferrari but there is no doubt that in Schumacher, Brawn and Byrne they had a Formula One dream team and reaching the dizzy heights they did again will be tough.

it was those people that were single handedly responsible for ferrari success! the teams must now be feeling that 2008 is going to be a lot more competitive

Funny how Todt's gone just as Honda recruit Ross Brawn. Last year I said Ferrari would struggle without Schumi, but I was proven wrong, so for 2008 I'm not going to underestimate Ferrari. The only way the team could go into a crap spell would be if a mass of internal team politics broke out like it did when Alain Prost joined them in 1990.

Seems like every team has its own problems: McLaren setback, pit lane, scrutineering, new driver. Ferrari internal replacement of key figures, could be tough going. Honda on a regrouping mission with Ross showing them the way. Renault, spygate II, FA possibly re-joining and becoming a potential liability. Looks to me the teams with the most internal stability (BMW-Sauber, Williams, Red Bull) might get a serious stab at the front runner position next year, especially BMW-Sauber...
Overall however, I still think it'll be for Ferrari to lose it despite the reorganization efforts - who's to say that the new home grown generation of people (I include FM in here as well) hasn't learned a fair bit from the old pros that have left the organization? Also, MS and JT are still around to chip in with some help if they're asked for it in a potential crisis.
