Webber is only 34. We have a 39 and 42 year old racing on the grid. Webber could easily have another 4-5 years left in him before he starts to lose any speed at all.

I agree with all the above.
And...... I don't gamble, but with odd like Webber is shown at here I might even be tempted to put some money on him. I can't believe that a guy who led the championship and was in the running to win at the last race and is driving the fastest car is at 14/1 on one site.
Heidfeld is special. He died twice and was resurrected twice.
I don't think it's do or die for Webber at all (but possibly a do or retire). I think he'll be even stronger this season than last if the car is as good or better relative to the rest like it was. He's got two things going for him from my point of view. 1) He's been in a position to win a championship and lost. Sometimes failure is the best thing for you. It teaches you a lot about yourself. 2) He knows he has the ability to challenge everybody and anybody on the grid. So frankly I think he will either win or be in the top 3 again this year, and if he's in the top 3 again this year then he'll probably sign on for 2012 with RB because you don't just quit once you're in a car that can win championships.
And for the record, I hope Rosberg kicks Schumacher's bottom again this year...badly.
You never know, he might have broken another 10 bones in his body. That way he has an excuse for not winning.
My bet is that the 2012 'silly season ' rumour will revolve around the second Ferrari seat........

Bear in mind the 39 year old is simply putting on a racing suit every weekend to extend the only record he will ever have - to compete in most F1 races..
Neither of the two above are driving Championship winning cars...and haven't been for years.
True...his Brawn days completely slipped my mind. Probably because he looked like he was driving a Brawn with 3 wheels for 3/4 of the season.

And the 42 year old has history to back him up as well as contacts (Brawn)...and for him, this is the ultimate do or die year.

Webber needs to respond to last season with a bang. Just coming 2nd to Vettel isn't enough. If he does the team would be looking for another replacement as they are well aware their current star is not the loyal type whatsoever.

It's Vettel's to turn down. Assuming he sticks with Red Bull...Gosh, I don't even know who they could go with...Only top driver I think they'd look at (And who'd be available) is...Lewis. And I'm pretty sure Alonso has a "No Lewises" clause.
