I can see where MacFan's comingfrom, in that Brawn, Byrne and Schu were the main factors in Ferrari's development into a proper front-running team again, but in the same way Barnard and Lauda were instrumental in turning McLaren from a team that was little better than an also-ran into the dominant team of the 80s. In both cases it boils down to the man making the decisions making the RIGHT decisions.

Sorry RD and you are correct the ':wink:' was overlooked on my part as I only focused on the 'twat' reply. I think that's due to our difference in it's perception and it's context in which it was used. I'll just be quite now , sorry.

Dennis had to secure and manage the finances etc. for the team. At Ferrari, FIAT, Luca di Montezemolo, et al. looked after all of those affairs, not Todt. Dennis is twice the team manager Todt is.

No, it wasn't. Clearly you know nothing about the efforts Dennis had to go to get the carbon fibre for the cars, the dealings with TAG, and the subsequent running of McLaren International.

Well, the level of discussion on this board has never struck me as of academic quality (especially as of late) and I really don't see a need to start referencing everything we post, but yeah, I'll be keeping an eye on myself with re. to that.
