That choice is deliberately and knowingly putting other people at risk, big difference between that and choosing to go horse riding.

Surely the point is that we somehow could handle it better? Which isnt true im afraid, the ONLY reason theyd have more is cause they have 5 times as many people as we do, 300 million/ 60 million. The ratio would be about the same. No country in the world could handle such a law without the same ratio of gun deaths.


I must apologise btw ive just realised ive contradicted my first point, which i henceforth take back, the religious problem in the us doesnt actually account to any gun deaths, dont know why i said that. and we have a LOT of submerged racism in the UK, plenty of good people too, but nonetheless a lot of racism. My point is that we'd have the same amount of deaths.

What i cant stress enough is that the FOR side (yourself amongst them) dont seem to acknowledge that a gun is as dangerous as ****, it is IMO of course OBSCENE to allow a nation and its people to own one (or two or three or four) to acknowledge a law that was written years ago in with the intention of creating a large militia force to stop the British, then adapted to suit the fight against tyranny(future tyranny) aftermath of the WOI.

I believe the constitution needs to be overhauled for the 21st century! In the 18th century, people were not murdered for their clothes or shoes, it's impossible to compare 18th century and 21st century life, so surely it makes sense to update the constitution to reflect modern society?

How do you know that people were not murdered for their shoes or cloths in the 18th century hmmm can you prove your statement, I bet they were . Why should our Constitutional rights be changed when they setforth a form of governing that got our country this far, too appease the non-US members here?

No I cannot imagine that but I can respect other nations/countries views who do not carry them. What I do not like is the biased opinions from those who do not realize what crime is like in certain countries and use the US as a scapegoat to defend their laws because their country banned firearms. We all want to live in a society were we should not need them yet that is not the case at this point.

A perfect law enforcement career is one that you have never even had to draw your firearm . There are really ALOT of good honest police officers it's just that small margin who make the headlines thus implying that all US officers are either crooked or trigger happy. I wish everyone here could see how I conduct myself as you would be surprised. I mainly got into law enforcement to serve and protect, I know that is a concept that has mostly been forgotten, but I honestly believe in those words. I would give my life for my fellow man or woman, thats my oath and I will defend it until I die.

I don't need any appeasing; I have expressed my opinion and have had this discussion many times with AMERICAN CITIZENS, some disagree with me like yourself; others agree with me, although I have to say the demographic is interesting; most Americans agree with me on the subject are democrats and the Americans who disagree are republicans!

No I can not prove my "getting shot for clothes" statement; can you prove my statement wrong? You can not deny that it was a massively different world in the 1700s!

The officer in my high school had never had to draw his gun,he was a very good man as well! Officers in the US are professionals and thats what matters,like every aspect in life there are the bad ones!
As for crooked/trigger happy I blame Hollywood!
