People can blame guns but the problem is that this person was so upset he felt like he had to kill a government official and who ever else was there.
That is a mental issue not something that stores can stop selling.
As a gun owner i could see this ending alot worse when 20 armed civilians pull out guns also.
My thoughts are for all those effected

Nah, a bullet is harmless when lying around in the drawer by itself. Only once a PERSON picks it up, puts it in a gun and fires the gun at another person and hits that person in a certain way, THEN the bullet kills. So, the PERSON ultimately kills.

Yeah, but it's quite a bit easier to hurt someone with a firing gun than hitting someone with a gun.
As in...I'm a person who is really mad and want to kill people, should I use my gun to pistol whip them or shoot them down??? Hmmm!

I worked in a liquor store that was held up, one of the men walked up to me and put a gun in the back of my neck and I couldn't begin to express the cocktail of emotions that goes through you head at that moment. Had he not had a gun, I would have likely been the one accused of killing him.
The 3 guys were eventually caught after their 3rd liquor store robbery in the neighborhood.

So do pen's, knives, bricks etc etc thats why almost any instrument can be considered a deadly weapon. Your not looking at it in the correct perspective, just my opinion, and thats surprising coming from you since you were once married to a police office. People kill people it's just that a gun is an easy scapegoat for most, I realize though that non-law enforcement individuals may have a different outlook than us.

how powerful and deadly a gun is, and you still believe it is a good idea for civilians to "practice their god given right" uh uh, cannot concede agreement on this one,

Thats a rather ignorant and self imposed illusion of grandeur don't you think and frankly it's abit racist imho. You don't live here so do not try and judge us ok, I would appreciate atleast that amount of respect from you.
