I will tell you this about Honda. They can go from suck to champions over night. I saw them do it in Champ Cars and I would bet they will also do it in F1.

Of course in F1 you are not just making an engine so there is that extra work, but I will never forget Bobby Rahal dragging around the back of the pack with Honda then dumping them at the end of one year only to see them kick bottom the next.

trouble is the can do it the other way around too!

I'd love to see Button given a car capable of winning races - The closest he came was in 2004 - but no one could touch the Ferrari(s) that year.

Ohhh .. You dumped Button just like you did me . The difference is , I still love you . That JB sig pic you had was much sexier than that thing you have now . What is that anyway ? Looks like the gimp from pulp fiction ... Hey that gives me an idea :!: I'll be over as soon as I get dressed .

Jenson who? We hardly saw or heard anything about/from him this year... yes... because Honda were poor... but also because of that 'other' Englishman: LH!

In a way this was a good thing... JB was probably glad of the 'lower profile' and as a result escaped many embarrassing grillings about his and Honda's poor performances!

But next season Jenson will be itching to prove his worth and re-establish his profile within F1 and I hope Honda can give him the car he deserves - and needs - to do this... and as mentioned elsewhere, the removal of TC can only benefit as smooth a driver as Button...

I would love to see Jenson in a car that will let him show his true potential. I'm sure his tenure with Honda has really brought him down thus his motivation has suffered. He truelly deserve's better.

I bet he looks in the Williams garage and wonders 'what if'...

Maybe but dwelling in the past will not help him and William's is NOT the team they were in the late '80's and early-mid '90's. Although I truelly love William's and felt like I was apart of Frank's support group after his accident, I sent the team my support via emai's, they like any other great team fall on hard time's every once in awhile, that's racing.

I hope we all get to witness Jenson's true ability very soon.

Also notice how "crap spells" come in 4 year batches, Ferrari went on a 4 year winless run from Jerez 1990 to Hockenheim 1994, McLaren went through one from Adelaide 1993 to Melbourne 1997, and Williams have been without a win since Interlagos 2004... so perhaps they might win a race in 2008? :)

I hope we see a major resurgence from William's in '08 and the coming year's as I would really like to see Sir Frank retire in some sort of a winning streak, he deserve's that much.

Agreed . Frank is a modern day Enzo , IMO . Starting from scratch and building it into a powerful team .
He is being a bit of a hypocrite right now , with his objection to the customer car situation . But ol' Frank is a crafty one , I suspect he's merely trying to gain some leverage somehow . Ya' know , hoping Bernie and Max will throw him a bone so he'll hush . 8)
