You know it was a joke! I would never question your driving prowess... two things a man would never admit to being "bad" at is driving and umpalumpa.

Yes I know it was a joke, no worries mate! I don't profess to be the worlds best driver but judging by the standard of driving in Kansas, I may be the best in Kansas! :hehe:

My daughter is currently practicing with her driver's permit, the driver's test is in March. We had a small dusting of snow here a few days ago and I took her to an empty parking lot and forced her to induce the car into a spin and try and save it. I read somewhere that in Finland their driving tests includes slalom driving in the wet and other such tests... it's no wonder they produce more F1 drivers per capita than any other country!

The driving tests in any state/country should reflect the driving conditions, which is why I'm amazed the test here in Kansas isn't more strict given the extreme weather conditions that Kansas is subject to; tornadoes, heavy rain and snow, ice storms and extreme heat! I'm interested to see how my new SUV copes with snow, it doesn't do very well in freezing rain conditions, the TC is useless, forever coming on with minimal acceleration, often taking upto a minute to get upto 30mph!

Treat her like a lady and she'll purr like a lawnmower

It would be nice if I could hear anything from the engine, the insulation is so good, even when foot flat to the floor it's silent. :( A complete tangent to the subject matter but I believe that all cars above 150bhp should be rear wheel or four wheel drive, steering and drive in the same wheels is a bad idea in icy or snowy conditions.

I was just about to take exception with your post as I grew up driving fwd water cooled V-Dubs... but then I realized that not one of them was over 150 hp and I'm a 4 snow tire kind of guy in the winter. :D

my SUV has 250bhp and rev limiting traction control and is front wheel drive, not fun on slippery roads!

That test explains alot about chinese driving!

When i was 16 i took the home drivers education and after 6 months me and my dad just drove up to the DMV.

They printed me a license, no behind the wheel test only a small computer test.
