Daym dude we do agree on alot of stuff, sorry for dissing you in the past as you do have knowledge and sense about how F1 is in that it does not revolve around either Schumacher or Hamilton :) .

Wow, the Schumi glasses are strong on this thread.

No different than the Hamilton glasses on 90+% of all the other threads on this forum  . I believe that the dislike for Schumacher is twofold on this forum.

1. Being that 90+% of the forum members here did not actually see Schumi race and only pickout his error's without realizing he had some spectacular drives.

2. The forum is 99.99% English based so naturally it's going to be an English driver who is supported. Hell I'm not German,English,French or Brazilian but I support Schumi and supported Mansell,Prost and Piquet aswell as Senna when they were racing.

His input on KERS is pretty interesting as well.

Yes it was  .

Im gonan follow suit on the Massa thread and totally agree lol

I said this abouty someone i forgot who yesterday, that the people most likely to hate or love a driver the most are the ones that have heard too much and seen to little. The only reason more people dont think Schumacher beats Senna is because he could be a cheeky little German. 7 titles do not happen by luck and unpunished dirty driving do they? Christ id be lying if i said is was interested or saw F1 pre-2007 which means i watched it just after schumis retirement. But ive seen enough videos and classic races to know half my stuff on that era.

As for Hansy the schumacher glasses are nowhere near as the Hamilton glasses on here or Alonso glasses. Not even close. Schyumacher must love how his haters can say "oh look how s*** he is in a mercedes this year, shows his real skill" these people are the ones that couldnt get a word in from 2000-2005 and now they all want to get their final digs in someone who kept them quiet for so long. if that mercedes is anywhere near suited to schumi or close to a front running car, well...youll see.

I don't care if Schumacher is 7x World Champion, if his comeback rocked your world or whatever. The only thing that's in stake here is Sir Moss' comment. Whether you like Schumacher or not, whether you think he's the best driver ever or not, one thing is undeniable: he is the dirtiest driver in the grid, and as far as my F1 experience goes, the dirtiest I've ever seen. I was horrified when I watched what he did in Hungary. So, when I come here and see a gentleman classified as "trash talking", ":screwy:" and "senile geezer", when all he did was stating the obvious, don't tell me these guys don't have Schumi glasses.

And I don't care for the extremely passionate Hamilton vs Alonso brigade, nowadays the best you can do is ignore them as that battle is driven by their fans rather than the drivers themselves, but it is no different than excusing the cheap tricks of Schumacher because he happened to win 7 WDC and thus he can apparently do whatever he wants.

If moss had said this after Hungary, fair enough, why bring it up now?

Whats most damning of all for Moss, why bring up something EVERYONE knows, As much as you have a problem with schumi glasses people will think you own a schumi painted dartboard with your excessive abuse of him in this thread specifically. "One thing is undeniable...dirtiest driver ever" Yeah well what do you want a pat on the back, we all know this. Preaching to the converted in terms of realisation of his dirtiness. I dont like saying we cause not everyone on here is a Schumi fan, which is what youve just assumed from absolutely nothing.Im not a fan of his as much as i am of Hamilton and Kobayashi, but i respect the talent of any driver with it, and i dont focus on the negative side of drivers of which ALL have, Hamilton is/can be reckless, Alonsos sportsmanship and attitude, Schumachers dirtiness, Vettels spoiltness and lack of good overtaking skills, and Buttons inability to drive a car to its limits if it isnt perfectly suited to him. Why not try looking at these drivers cups half full instead of half empty, and focus on schumachers talent then his flaws, your problem here lies with those who called Moss "senile, old, stupid etc" not the man of which they are defending.

the thing is michael has always been a hard racer, so its not like that its something that schumi has just decided to do this season and lets be honest hes a 7 time world champ!, but mind you he was very lucky in 94 when he drove over damon hill's steering arm!

Sir Stirling was asked the question about the effect of the new rules, and he gave an honest and true answer. What he said about the incident in Hungary was 100% right and was a good example of why the rule is there.

On Shumey's record, he won 5 WDC in a car that won 6 WCC and was competitive in 4 other years. I wonder what those cars would have achieved in the hands of Prost, Stewart, Hill or Alonso?

I'm not English based, I live in Scotland. Also I have watched live every single GP Schumacher has driven. Also, as you'll see by my signature, Schumi is one of my all time favourite racers.

I have to say though that I agree with most (not all) of Moss' comments. I continue to support Schumacher in his comeback and would LOVE it if he was right up there competing or winning the WDC next year to shove it to those that were criticising him so badly in the first 12 or so races of 2010, as I genuinely believe his problems this year were related to the fact he didn't have any hand in helping to develop that car. With a high level of input into the setup and design of the 2011 car, I'm certain that even if he doesn't win, he will consistently perform very well.

Where I don't agree and think you have been very disrespectful Tex is when you're talking about Stirling and Jackie Stewart saying that they 'haven't been in F1 for 30+ years'. I'd like to point out that Jackie stewart on a shoestring budget, sourcing all of his own sponsors etc. managed to start up, run and succeed with his own F1 team barely a decade ago that whilst not world beaters, in his few seasons managed to return both podiums and a race win! Lets also not forget, that that very team was the starting point and blueprint for who are now the 2010 WDC and WCC - Red Bull! And he's been actively involved in F1 pretty much consistently in some capacity or other consistently since he retired as a driver. Most of the comments he's given in the past and likely will continue to give in the future are usually pretty much spot on - sometimes harsh but not often wrong. Especially relating to Jackie Stewart, I think it's pretty silly to try and argue that he's 'not been in F1 for 30+ years' unless you specifically talk about being a driver, but even then, I'm quite sure he's got a right to claim a more valid opinion that anybody on this or any other forum on the internet.

As for Stirling, sure he didn't win a WDC, but he was racing at times that there were much fewer races in a season, a lot more unreliability, deaths left right and centre, and especially in eras dominated by the likes of Fangio. There is no shame in having finished runner up to a driver of that caliber, or in having even survived that era. not forgetting the courage he showed just a few months ago in surviving and recovering at his age from a two story fall down a lift shaft! Again, I can't agree with the disrespect levied at someone who is a living legend in the sport we love so much. His opinions on F1 are still valid today as he's still often in and about the paddock at various events, and I'm sure still has a fair bit of inside info on many teams and drivers even in this modern era.

I often agree with a number of your opinions on this board, but on this occasion I think you've been a little bit misguided... Just my opinion of course, and nothing personal whatsoever, so hopefully you'll not be offended.
