I find that Q1 & Q2 are a tad boring coz they have little bearing on the final top 10. My idea is to accumulate the times over the sessions.
I have used Japan Qualifying as an example.
In this case the top 10 are the same drivers but the positions are different.
Actual Grid
1. Vettel
2. Webber
3. Hamilton
4. Kubica
5. Alonso
6. Button
7. Rosberg
8. Barrichello
9. Hulkenberg
10. Schumacher
After Q2 these were the times
1. Vettel 3:03.2
2. Webber 3:03.7
3. Rosberg 3:04.1
4. Hulkenberg 3:04.1
5. Hamilton 3:04.3
6. Barrichello 3:04.3
7. Alonso 3:04.4
8. Button 3:04.4
9. Schumacher 3:04.6
10. Kubica 3:04.8
After Q3
1. Vettel 4:34.0
2. Webber 4:34.6
3. Hamilton 4:35.5
4. Rosberg 4:35.6
5. Hulkenberg 4:35.7
6. Alonso 4:35.72
7. Barrichello 4:35.77
8. Button 4:35.78
9. Kubica 4:36.0
10. Schumacher 4:36.4
What do you think??
