I doubt it will be like that.
Even in Need for speed you need to brake and take racing lines.
And NFS is biggest ricer fake game ever.

trust me, they couldn't do worse than Sony did, ths A.I in the last one didn't even know there was a car called you beside it, and the wet races where utter rubbish, they basically gave the cars less grip, you still couldn't slide even if you tried.
Plus quali was just stupid, the cars where given race fuel, but just raced around till there was no fuel left so they could be doing the same laps from Q1 and 2. Which left you last unless you drove every lap, which was boring.

The last F1 game EA made for the PSX though was probably the best for that machine, F1-2000 championship edition.

Can't wait for the F1 games without TC.

... making himself an easy 10 millions for letting EA to use his name and likeness in still untitled racing video game. As Sony is current owner of exclusive rights to make F1 games, it is not known if game will at all be F1 related. Or, maybe EA will grab rights from Sony on the next go..?

Now... is it just me or LH hype is really out of control? I mean, kid is not even a champion yet; and no one knows when (or even if) he will be, specially that McLaren will be easily screwed up next season for using Ferrari's "ideas" (and I can see how easy it will be to find same ideas everywhere - it is not like different F1 cars are designed on completely different basis).

Much as I can recall, all other drivers got their video game once they became champions - Richard Burns, Colin McRae. I can't even recall if MS had his video game (except for some cart racing title). And what about FA and Kimi - they are recent/current champions, right? Senna F1 racing? So kid will be first vice-champion to have a game.

I'm wondering... will players get more points if they finish 2nd rather than 1st? Will there be dedicated X button on the game's controller layout to make it more challenging? Just kidding.

One thing for sure - LH has hell of a PR & marketing force under his coat.

I just brought his offical book and soon as this game comes out I will be buying it and if it upsets you even better goooooooooo Lewis so proud of you.

Well I love F1 games, and I love Lewis Hamilton. So this is good for me. If EA get it then it will be like the Tiger Woods games, getting one per year. That sounds good to me!

I agree, I will be buying this game...[/b]

Console F1 games are not too common, mainly because of the lack of popularity of F1 in USA. LH is definitely a factor for US popularity for various reasons.... so any F1 game is definitely a good thing

Hopefully the Xbox version will be 'Iceman F1' though... as I do not plan to buy a PS3

Seconded, and it will only get better.

Back slightly more on topic, I'm not expecting too much if or when a game is made, because it will be an EA game. And they'll only proceed to rip people off with another mediocre game, beefed up with a licence.

Lewis does seem to be appearing in a lot of markets at the moment...

The best F1 game I played was either the F1 2000 or 2001 game, it's been 3-4yr's so I cant remember which version. I really liked it at the time. Then I bought a more recent version like the 2004 and the car was so uncontrollable I quit playing it.

I have F1 2001 on PC. Got it from a charity shop for £1. Totally Brill game. Console do not seem to any good for racing games. Played 2004 on PS2 and it was awfull

Those have been the only F1 games I have ever played so I have nothing else to compare them too. Heck when I bought my PS1 and GT1 I thought I was in heaven but now GT3 look's crappy compared to GT4.

I know my input is pretty much useless  , my bad.
