whilst you characterize "team" stuff as "cheating" I characterize it as the essence of "team" and selflessness
Then surely you'd characterize individualism, drivers tactics and the absence of puppeteering in other teams as their essence and leave it at that instead of questioning the actions and assuming something insidious must be going on.
I'm sorry, when did I say something insidious is going on?

As subtle as Glenn Beck.

I take it that is as close as you can get to apologizing for accusing me of something I didn't say.
I tend to choose my words carefully.
I tend to choose my words carefully.
... insidiously.
It seems Jenson won't leave qualifying and tyre choice from Susuka go .....
On his own website, Jenson cast more doubt on who was calling the shots on his car setup during qualifying.
He stated:-
"I think I could have extracted a bit more from the car if I'd been fuelled for just a single lap in Q3."
And of course he would have had the option and the time to do a second run on the option tyre!
He also stated:-
"I can understand why the team felt it was wiser to fuel for two laps, "
This is stating that it was the "teams" decision to fuel him so that he had to stay out doing extra laps and not have the time to come in a change to the softer tyre. As he then went on to mention, perhaps he could have then tried to "challenge Fernando".

Reflecting on things?
Words are like a certain person
Who can't say what they mean
Don't mean what they say.
Tom Tom Club, Wordy Rappinghood.

Jenson " I preferred the feel of that tyre (the hard) but realistically I chose it thinking about the race" Note the use of the words I chose here.
With the monsoon conditions of sat washing the track, it was assumed the softs would be only good for a dozen laps. Thinking the hards would take longer to come in, Jenson was fuelled for 3 laps. As it transpired, the hards didnt have a second lap in them. Had they known this and fuelled him for 1 lap he'd have been close to hamilton. But hidsight is a wonderful thing. it isnt anything sinister.
OK, slightly off the current chain of thought but i was just watching the Formula One .com race edit and i noticed that Lewis says on the radio "Jens is holding me up".
Sound to me like he was asking for some team orders. Its not that different to Fernando's "I am faster than Felipe".

Even over warbly race radio the names "Felipe" and "Jens" sound nothing a like.

Also, Fernando said 'this is ridiculous', i'm sure Lewis probably would have said something like... 'preposterous'.
Ah well... tomahto... tomato... whatever
